    摘要: Whisker-reinforced ceramics with high fracture toughness and strength consists essentially of 5-40 weight % SiC including SiC whiskers, 1-30 weight % of at least one kind of oxides of elements selected from the group consisting of Al, Sc, Y and rare-earth elements, and the balance being silicon oxynitride constituents, wherein said SiC whiskers are present in an amount of no less than 5 weight % of the total essential constituents.The silicon oxynitride constituents are Si.sub.2 N.sub.2 O or a mixture of silicon nitride and silica (0.83-1.22 by molar ratio), or a mixture of Si.sub.2 N.sub.2 O and said mixture of silicon nitride and silica. Silicon oxynitride and SiC phases are predominant.

    摘要: There is provided a fine particle detection system with a fine particle sensor, a cable and a sensor drive control device. The fine particle sensor has an ion source unit with first and second electrodes, a particle charging unit and inner and outer sensor casings. The cable has a power supply wiring line connected to the second electrode, an inner shield line electrically continuous with the inner sensor casing and an outer shield line electrically continuous with the outer sensor casing. The sensor drive control device has an ion-source power supply circuit, a signal current detection circuit, an inner circuit casing electrically continuous with a first output terminal of the ion-source power supply circuit and surrounding the ion-source power supply circuit and an outer circuit casing connected to the ground potential and shielding the ion-source power supply circuit, the signal current detection circuit and the inner circuit casing.

    摘要: A dielectric material based on BaO-RE.sub.2 O.sub.3 -TiO.sub.2 is disclosed, which has a relatively high relative permittivity .epsilon..sub.r, a small absolute value of the temperature coefficient of resonance frequency .tau..sub.f and a high coefficient of unloaded quality Q.sub.u. Processes for producing the dielectric material are also disclosed. The dielectric material comprises 100 parts by weight of main ingredients having a composition represented by xBaO-yRE.sub.2 O.sub.3 -zTiO.sub.2 (wherein RE represents a rare earth element and x+y+z=100) and up to 5 parts by weight of at least one alkali metal oxide. This alkali metal oxide serves to improve .epsilon..sub.r and Q.sub.u without a considerable sacrifice of .tau..sub.f. The RE preferably consists of samarium or a combination of samarium with neodymium and/or lanthanum. In producing the dielectric material, a dense sintered body can be obtained without fail by using a raw material containing hydroxyl groups as a starting material for the rare-earth ingredient among the main ingredients.
