A method for providing an advertisement from a digital signage control apparatus to multiple mobile devices accessible to an access point installed in a digital signage terminal. The method may include determining whether the number of the mobile devices requesting the identical advertisement for a predetermined amount of time is greater than a threshold, and if the number of the mobile devices is greater than the threshold, transmitting the identical advertisement to the mobile devices through a multicast channel.

Provided are a method of communicating content in a mobile ad-hoc network and a communication node included in a mobile ad-hoc network, the method and communication node intended to efficiently perform communication based on information centric networking (ICN) in a mobile ad-hoc network and reduce the waste of energy resulting from frequent reconfiguration of communication caused by the mobility of a terminal. The method includes receiving an interest packet or a response packet for content; determining a next node to which the received packet will be relayed based on a forwarding information base (FIB) or a pending interest table (PIT), and relaying the packet using a unicast scheme; and when the relay of the packet to the next node fails, restoring a routing path by storing the packet in a relay candidate buffer and broadcasting the packet.

A method of retransmitting a packet for low-power wireless sensor communications of a coordinator in a sensor network is provided. The method includes receiving packets from a plurality of sensor devices during a plurality of guaranteed time slots (GTSs) of a Contention Free Period (CFP) which are allocated to the respective sensor devices; checking whether there is an error in each of the received packets; generating one GTS Bulk ACK frame that contains pieces of ACK information to be transmitted to the respective sensor devices, according to the error check results; and transmitting the generated GTS Bulk ACK frame to the plurality of sensor devices.

A method and apparatus for an adaptive Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) streaming service using metadata of content are provided. The metadata may include one or more BaseURL elements. Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) of segments forming media may be generated based on the BaseURL elements. Additionally, a URL of a segment may be generated by mapping a BaseURL element among the BaseURL elements to a sourceURL attribute of the segment. Segments indicated by generated URLs may be identical to each other.

A data redirection system and a method of providing a data redirection service are provided. The data redirection system includes a thin-client terminal configured to be connected to a local peripheral device and receive multimedia data from the local peripheral device; and a redirection server configured to be connected to the thin-client terminal via a network, receive the multimedia data from the thin-client terminal, execute the multimedia data in an application program and transmit an execution result screen displaying the result of the execution to the thin-client terminal.
