Abstract: Solid laundry softening compositions and applications of use are disclosed. Solid laundry softening compositions combine quaternary ammonium compounds with an inorganic carrier to provide a flowable powder for solidification in a pressed or extruded solid composition. A high loading of quaternary ammonium compound in the inorganic carrier, including an inorganic salt, can be further combined with softening boosters, processing aids, surfactants, and/or additional functional ingredients to provide stable solid compositions.

In particular, the sprayable compositions include an inverse emulsion polymer for modifying the viscosity of the composition and provide numerous benefits over dispersion polymer compositions used for rheology modification to reduce misting and respiratory inhalation of cleaning compositions. Compositions and methods of cleaning using the compositions having reduced amounts of airborne particulates of the composition during spray applications are provided.

Abstract: Wipe compositions include an anionic surfactant and at least one acid provide cleaning and/or sanitizing without requiring use of personal protective equipment (PPE), are surface compatible to provide surface polishing, and do not result in streaky, hazy or tacky residues on treated surfaces. Liquid and solid compositions are provided. The compositions provide effective alternatives to quaternary ammonium containing compounds. Methods of using the wipe compositions are also provided.
