The at least one electric motor and the at least one generator of the power supply unit may be embodied as three-phase synchronous machines. In order to reduce the volume and weight of such a boat propulsion system while increasing its effectiveness, at least one of the electric motor and the at least one generator configured as a three-phase synchronous machine, includes a rotating excitation coil made of high-temperature super conductor wire. Each rotating excitation coil made of high-temperature super conductor wire is arranged in a vacuum-tight, insulated cryostat by which the rotating excitation coil made of high-temperature super conductor wire can be chilled to a temperature of 15 to 77 K.

    摘要: The magnetic apparatus of a nuclear spin tomography system contains several magnet coils which are surrounded by an approximately cylindrical shielding device of ferromagnetic material. This shielding device comprises at least four beam-like shielding elements of substantially identical design which are arranged regularly distributed in the circumferential direction on a common cylinder surface and, at their end faces, a disc-shaped part with a central opening having a predetermined radius relative to the cylinder axis. In this shielding device, the magnetic stray flux is to be reduced further. For this purpose, the invention provides that at each of the two end faces of the shielding device, two additional shielding plates are arranged parallel to each other such that they extend each of the beam-like shielding elements in the longitudinal direction beyond the corresponding disc-shaped part by a predetermined amount. In addition, at least two elongated shielding plates lying in two parallel planes with a predetermined width can be provided which are parallel to and spaced from the beam-shaped shielding elements of the shielding device and which extend beyond the respective end faces by a predetermined amount.

    摘要: The device is for a superconducting magnetic coil assembly that is to be cryogenically cooled by a liquid coolant, and is subdivided into several partial winding sections that are connected one after the other to protect the assembly in the event of an unintended transition from the superconducting state to the normal conducting state. A protective resistor is connected in parallel with each partial winding section and the ends of adjacent partial winding sections that face one another are connected to the corresponding ends of their respective protective resistors by a common section of an electrical conductor. With a passive protection device of this kind, it should be possible to use protective resistors with a relatively small mass. According to the invention, the protective resistors are located in the exhaust gas stream of the coolant, and in each of the sections of the conductor that are common to adjacent partial winding sections there is located a small auxiliary resistor. Two electrical heating elements are connected in parallel to each auxiliary resistance. The heating elements are in thermal contact with the two adjacent partial winding sections, which are connected with the respective auxiliary resistors. In addition, it is advantageous to provide a superconducting persistent-current switch with which the partial winding sections that are connected one after the other can be short-circuited.
