    摘要: A fuel cell (20) can be constructed to be generally formed in the shape of a solid cylinder. The fuel cell has a porous central core (22) of reticulated vitreous aluminum that is formed in the shape of a solid cylinder. The porous central core serves to distribute oxidant throughout the fuel cell. A cathode (23) is situated coaxially around the porous central core, and has a catalytic layer (24) on the outer side. A solid polymer electrolyte (25) is situated coaxially around the cathode and in intimate contact with the catalytic layer. An anode (27) is situated coaxially around the electrolyte, and a second layer of catalytic material (26) is situated between the electrolyte and the anode. A fuel chamber (28) is situated coaxially around and in intimate contact with the anode and arranged to distribute fuel throughout the fuel cell.

    摘要: A reverse polarity protection assembly (40) comprises an electronic product housing (102) having a battery compartment (90) having a recessed positive contact (70) and recessed negative contact (80). The assembly further comprises a battery holder (44) carried within the battery compartment (90). The battery holder has a plurality of leaf spring contacts (54) biased towards each other at opposing ends of the battery holder, the battery holder having external battery contacts (56 and 58) to contact the recessed positive and negative contacts. The assembly finally comprises a plurality of non-conductive spacers (10) carried by at least some of the leaf spring contacts, each of the spacers have an aperture (7) allowing a protruding terminal (43) of a battery (42) to contact the leaf spring contact and preventing a flat terminal (45) of a battery from contacting the leaf spring contact.

    摘要: A coaxial connector includes a housing carrying an insulator. The insulator carries a center contact with a spring biasing the cneter contact. A volute spring engages the housing and provides the ground or shield contact. The housing is formed of two halves with the volute spring and alignment pins holding the housing halves together. A coaxial cable has its shield clamped between the housing halves for providing the ground connection to the volute spring. The coaxial cable center conductor is connected to the center contact within the housing.
