Abstract:
Method and device to close containers with a closure that contains a reclosable drinking opening and a protective cap to cover such a drinking opening. Closures of this type for the closure of containers are supplied in the form of a complete unit with a pressed-on protective cap and a closed drinking opening, and in this condition they are cleaned from inside, preferably prior to the actual closing. The closure is then placed on the bottle. During the cleaning and/or sterilization process, it is unavoidable that traces of fluid will remain in the internal structure of the closure, which is constructed of a number of different parts. Such fluid traces represent a major disadvantage, in particular in the beverage industry, and are therefore undesirable. The invention teaches a method of the type described above in which, prior to the closing process, the closures are subjected to a cleaning with the drink opening opened, and then the opened drinking opening is placed on the mouth of the container, during which process the drinking opening is closed, and then the protective caps are placed on the closures.
Abstract:
A setup table on a bottle handling machine which includes feed-end and delivery-end star wheels and associated guide tracks for the bottles as well as drive devices for the individual star wheels and handling stations, and a support plate that covers the drive devices. A plurality of handling machines are combined into a unit, and the axis of rotation of a rinser is located on a first line, and the axes of rotation of the feed-end and delivery-end star wheels of the rinser and of the filling machine are located on a second line that runs at some distance from the first. The axis of the delivery-end star wheel of the filling machine and the axis of rotation of a crown corker are located on an additional line that runs at an angle to the second line. The axis of an additional capping machine and the axis of the delivery-end star wheel of the crown corker and of the additional capping machine are located on an additional line that runs parallel to this third line.
Abstract:
A device for use with a closure magazine of a closing or capping machine for introducing crown corks or similar closures into a closure channel from a chamber that accommodates a plurality of such closures. The closures are conducted in the closure channel in a successive manner and in single file. At least one magnetic conveyor is provided at a transition that is formed partially in the chamber and partially in an entry region of the closure channel. At this transition, the conveyor exerts a conveying effect upon the closures in a first conveying direction from the chamber into the closure channel.
Abstract:
An electrically controlled filling element, for filling machines, having one or more actuating devices for one or more shutoff valves, which are disposed in the gas-conveying systems of the filling element and are actuated for control of the various filling processes, and/or for the valve actuating device of one or more liquid flow valves. These actuating devices are made insensitive to the penetration of moisture, for example cleaning liquid, by providing one or more of the actuating devices with a diaphragm which is operated by pressure medium, and by disposing the respective pressure medium control valves which control the supply of pressure medium separate and at a distance from the other parts of the filling element at a location of the filling machine which is protected from the entry of liquid. An additional shielding of the pressure medium control valve can be undertaken by providing a housing therefor.
Abstract:
An accelerator feed arrangement configured to accelerate blow-molded pet beverage bottles from a linear conveyor to a rotary pet bottle sterilizing machine and minimize misalignment and jamming of blow-molded pet beverage bottles during transport from a linear conveyor to a rotary pet bottle sterilizing machine. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. Abstract:
Rotary screwtop container capping arrangement designed to screw screw caps onto screwtop containers having neck rings which support the containers during capping. The capping arrangement has a cam arrangement having a guide roller located in a control groove having top and bottom guide surfaces. A lifting element or rod is connected to the cam arrangement and is moved up and down in a controlled manner to control the lifting and lowering of a container.
Abstract:
A rotary beverage filling machine for filling cans with a liquid beverage. The rotary beverage filling machine comprises rinsing cap structures for closing the dispensing openings of the filling elements to permit cleaning of the filling elements.
