摘要: An image forming machine comprising a rotating drum mounted rotatably and having a photosensitive material disposed on the peripheral surface thereof; a rotating drive source for causing the rotating drum to rotate; an image forming means for forming a toner image on the photosensitive material in an image forming zone; a transfer means for transferring the toner image on the photosensitive material onto an image receiving member in a transfer zone located downstream of the image forming zone as viewed in the direction of rotation of the rotating drum; and a cleaning means which acts on the photosensitive material in a cleaning zone located downstream of the transfer zone but upstream of the image forming zone as viewed in the direction of rotation of the rotating drum. The cleaning means includes a cylindrical brush formed of a multiplicity of radially extending yarns. The brush of the cleaning means is mounted rotatably about the central axis of rotation extending substantially parallel to the central axis of rotation of the rotating drum, is pressed against the photosensitive material, and is caused to rotate following the rotation of the rotating drum.

摘要: A pedal return device is provided for controlling operation of a pedal member. In particular, the pedal return device imparts a resistive force which resists movement of the pedal member. In the case of an automobile accelerator pedal, this feature allows the driver to more easily maintain a given level of pedal actuation. However, the resistive force is made dependent on whether the pedal member is actually being depressed. Accordingly, once a force applied to the pedal member is removed, the resistive force is correspondingly and assuredly eliminated to permit the pedal member to be reliably returned to an initial rest position by a restoration force generating device provided.

摘要: A vibration detecting apparatus comprises a housing having at one end thereof an opening, a piezoelectric element disposed within the housing, a connector mounted to the housing to cover the opening thereof and having an output pin, a lead wire for electrically connecting the piezoelectric element with the output pin, and an initially conical annular spring having an outer peripheral edge portion thereof received by an annular groove formed in an inner peripheral wall of the housing. The piezoelectric element is biased by the initially conical annular spring.

摘要: A spark plug with a wide discharge gap includes an insulating layer formed on one or the other of its center and ground electrodes and disposed in the gap between the electrodes. The insulating layer includes an inner insulating layer of a material having a high dielectric constant and an outer insulating layer of a material having an excellent resistance to heat and high voltage, which surrounds the inner insulating layer, whereby ensuring a reduced discharge voltage, an improved ignition performance and improved heat resistance and durability.

摘要: An ignition range detector for an internal combustion engine is disclosed, in which at each combustion of the internal combustion engine, a pressure signal of a pressure sensor for detecting the pressure in a cylinder is integrated by a signal associated with the crank angle to produce an area S.sub.1 +S.sub.2 presenting the combustion state. At the same time, the pressure signal for a hypothetical case of misfire under the same condition is integrated to produce an area S.sub.1. It is decided whether the ratio (S.sub.1 +S.sub.2)/S.sub.1 is higher than a predetermined value .alpha. or not thereby to detect an ignition range always stably regardless of the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine including the load thereon.

摘要: An ignition timing control apparatus for internal combustion engines is constructed to retard or advance the spark time of an engine when a knocking detector in the ignition timing control apparatus detects the occurrence or non-occurrence of knocking in the engine, respectively, and to retard the spark time by a predetermined angular value irrespective of an output signal from the knocking detector when a failure occurring in the knocking detector has been detected. Further, the ignition timing control apparatus may comprise alarm means which is actuated when a failure occurring in the knocking detector has been detected.

摘要: An ignition timing control system for an internal combustion engine in which an angular position of the internal combustion engine is detected, and on the basis of the signal thus obtained by detection, the ignition timing of the internal combustion engine is determined by calculation in a computing device. A knocking condition is judged by a detection signal produced from a knocking detector of the internal combustion engine, and the ignition timing is corrected by the judgement of knocking. In view of the fact that the knocking occurs only during a certain period of the driving cycle of the internal combustion engine, a knocking condition is judged by comparing a detection signal produced from the knocking detector during the time in the absence of knocking with a detection signal produced during the time in the presence of knocking.

摘要: An ignition control apparatus for an internal combustion engine is disclosed in which the ignition energy for igniting by means of a spark plug the air-fuel mixture supplied to the internal combustion engine is controlled in accordance with the flow velocity of the air-fuel mixture flowing in the neighborhood of the spark plug. An ignition coil for supplying a spark ignition voltage to the spark plug is energized by a power supply and de-energized at the desired timing of spark generation in accordance with the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine. The rotational speed of the engine representing the flow velocity of the mixture is detected and on the basis of this detected rotational speed, the duration of energization of the ignition coil is variably controlled.
