摘要： A variable delivery compressor having therein a plurality of compression chambers is adapted for compressing a refrigerant gas of a cooling circuit. The compressor has a first delivery chamber communicating with the compression chambers by way of a fixedly arranged valve and a second delivery chamber communicating with the compression chambers by way of a movably arranged delivery valve. This movable valve is formed to include a base portion, a plurality of reed portions formed to radially extend from the outer circumference of the base portion and arranged to face delivery ports, and at least one protrusion formed to radially extend from the outer circumference of the base portion for suppressing the warp of the base portion.

摘要： An apparatus for operating a gaseous discharge lamp comprises a D.C. power source, a transistor inverter which is connected to the D.C. power source through a switch, provided with at least one inverter transistor and generates an output having a prescribed frequency, and a discharge lamp which is energized by an output from the transistor inverter and having a pair of electrodes heated by part of the output. The apparatus further comprises base current control means which holds the base current of the inverter transistor at a level lower than a first level during a prescribed length of time after the close of the switch, and holds the base current at the first level after the prescribed length of time. The discharge lamp has its electrodes preheated, but does not display discharge when the base current has a level lower than the first level, and commences discharge when the base current reaches the first level and thereafter continues discharge.

摘要： A variable output device is mounted on a mounting unit with the operating shaft displaceable. An operating unit for transmitting the operation of the user to the operating shaft is mounted on the operating shaft relatively movably along the direction of the axis of the operating shaft, on the one hand, and in an operatively interlocked fashion along the direction of displacement of the operating shaft, on the other hand. A holding member is arranged in opposed relation with the mounting unit with the variable output device interposed therebetween. An elasticity applier urges the operating unit away from the variable output device. The holding member is provided with an operating hole. The holding member is arranged at a position in opposed relation with the mounting unit with the variable output device and the operating unit interposed therebetween. The operating unit elastically urged by the elasticity applier is brought into contact with the peripheral edge portion of the operating hole of the holding member in opposed relation with the operating hole.

摘要： A circuit and method of data slicing a television signal comprises: an extractor 2 for extracting a specific component from the television signal of analog form; a slicer 3 for slicing the specific component of the television signal produced by the extractor 2 and converting it to its digital form; a decoder 4 for decoding an output of the slicer 3 for display; an initial value storage 10 for storing an initial value of the slice level; slice level controllers 7 and 8 for varying the initial slice level at a predetermined rate; a signal detector 11 for examining whether or not the digitized specific component from the slicer 3 is a desired multiplex signal; a temporary slice level memory 13 for storing the upper and lower levels of the desired multiplex signal detected by the signal detector 11; a calculator 9 for calculating an optimum value of the slice level from the upper and lower levels of the multiplex signal stored in the temporary slice level memory 13; a slice level storage 6 for storing the optimum slice level calculated by the calculator 9; and a controller 14 for selectively feeding the slicer 3 with the optimum slice level retrieved from either the slice level storage 6 or the slice level controllers 7 and 8 according to a resultant judgment of the signal detector 11.

摘要： A low frequency AC voltage is rectified through a full-wave rectifier to obtain a pulsating voltage, which is superimposed with an auxiliary voltage of a predetermined level provided from an auxiliary power source, and the resultant composite pulsating voltage is inverted at an inverter to a high frequency voltage. The high frequency voltage thus obtained from the inverter is used to operate a discharge lamp. Minimum value V.sub.min of the resultant voltage is set to be 1/3 to 4/5 of the maximum value V.sub.max of the resultant voltage.
