    摘要: A continuously variable capacity swash plate type refrigerant compressor having a cylinder block defining therein a plurality of front and rear cylinder bores arranged around an axis of rotation of a drive shaft supported in the cylinder block, front and rear refrigerant suction chambers in front and rear housings attached to the ends of the cylinder block, an angularly inclined swash plate mounted on the drive shaft to be integrally rotated therewith and to be pivotable about a pivoting center to change an angle of inclination thereof, double-headed pistons reciprocated in the front and rear cylinder bores by the rotation of the swash plate in such a manner that the top dead center of the pistons in the rear cylinder bores is constantly set at a fixed position, front and rear suction passageways to suck the refrigerant before compression into the front and rear suction chambers, and a suction reducer for reducing a suction of the refrigerant gas by the rear suction passageway during the small capacity operation of the compressor to thereby generate a pressure differential between the front and rear suction chamber and obtain a flow of the lubricant contained refrigerant gas from the front suction chamber toward the rear suction chamber, while lubricating movable elements at the front side of the compressor.

    摘要: An improved scroll type compressor is disclosed. A moveable scroll is eccentrically connected to a rotary shaft and opposed to a fixed scroll for forming a compression chamber. The moveable scroll performs an orbital movement about an axis of the rotary shaft without rotating about its own axis. With the orbital movement, the moveable scroll reduces the volume of the compression chamber and compresses coolant gas therein. A fixed wall is disposed adjacent to the moveable scroll on the opposite side from the fixed scroll. The fixed wall receives a reaction force of the compressed gas applied to the moveable scroll. First elements disposed between the fixed wall and the moveable scroll transmit the reaction force from the moveable scroll to the fixed wall. Second elements are disposed independently from the first elements between the fixed wall and the moveable scroll for determining the orbit of the moveable scroll.

    摘要: A scroll type compressor includes a fixed scroll having a fixed spiral element and a fixed end plate, and an orbiting scroll is revolvable without rotating itself in opposition to the fixed scroll. The orbiting scroll includes an orbiting spiral element and an orbiting end plate. A plurality of compression chambers, of which volumes are decreased in response to the revolution of the orbiting scroll, are defined between the scrolls. A discharge port opens to the discharge chambers. The thicknesses of initiating sections of the fixed and orbiting spiral elements are designed larger than those of remaining sections thereof. Sealing members having a spiral shape are slidably interposed between the fixed and orbiting end plates of the fixed and orbiting scrolls, and the initiating sections of the fixed and orbiting spiral elements are in opposition to the respective end plates. The cross sectional area of an initiating section of the sealing member, which is integrally movable with at least the orbiting scroll, is larger than that of remaining section thereof. The sealing member is capable of covering a part of the discharge port.

    摘要: A mechanism for allowing the orbital movement of an orbiting scroll with respect to a fixed scroll in a scroll type compressor which prevents the orbiting scroll from rotating around its own axis is disclosed. The orbiting scroll is eccentrically attached to a rotary shaft supported by a housing that encases the fixed and orbiting scrolls. A compression chamber is defined by the interfitting between the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll. During the course of the orbiting scroll's rotation around the center axis line of a rotary shaft, the volume of a compression chamber decreases as the rotation progresses. Refrigerant gas in the compression chamber is compressed in this manner as the constant volume of gas within the compression chamber decreases in size according to the progression of the rotating spiral member. A balancing weight disposed on the eccentric shaft compensates for dynamic unbalancing generated as the orbiting scroll makes an orbital movement due to the rotation of the rotary shaft. This balancing weight engages a bushing which supports the orbiting scroll. A mechanism for automatically adjusting the radius of the orbital movement is disposed between the rotary shaft and the balancing weight. A spring for restricting the shifting on the eccentric shaft of both the weight and the bushing in the thrust direction is disposed between the weight and the bushing.
