Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for prioritizing sidelink communication transmissions. In accordance with one example embodiment, a WTRU may include a processor, configured to receive vehicle-to-x communication (V2X) configuration parameters from a V2X network node. The V2X communication parameters may be associate with sidelink communications for a V2X service. The WTRU may send a user equipment (UE) information message to a gNB. The UE information message may include quality of service (QoS) information associated with the V2X service. The WTRU may further receive a radio resource control (RRC) configuration message from the gNB. The RRC configuration message may include an indication of a logical channel to be used for communication sidelink data associated with the V2X service, and one or more logical channel configuration parameters for the logical channel to be used for communication of the sidelink data associated with the V2X service. The WTRU may send at least one sidelink transmission comprising the sidelink data associated with the V2X service.

Abstract: Systems and method are specified to improve the reception of UL transmission, for example in power or coverage limited situations. A WTRU may modify procedures to increase the available signal energy for reception at an eNB and/or to make more efficient use of the available signal energy at the receiver for processing UL transmissions. Example methods for increasing UL link coverage may include modifying HARQ timing (e.g., shorter HARQ), using longer TTIs, use of dedicated PUSCH allocations, use of new PUSCH modulations, enhanced reference signal design, UL macro diversity reception for PUSCH, utilizing protocol reduction techniques, ensuring in-order packet delivery, and/or utilizing a configuration for coverage limited/power limited modes of operation. The proposed methods may be applied individually or in any combination.

Abstract: The present application at least describes a frame structure in new radio. The frame structure includes a self-contained transmission time interval. The transmission time interval includes a control information region including plural beams. The interval also includes a downlink transmission channel region including plural beams. The frame structure is configured for downlink control information to be swept through the time interval. The frame structure is also configured for an uplink or downlink grant resource subsequently to be swept through the time interval. The present application is also directed to a method for configuring user equipment.

Abstract: Switching between Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) modes of a user equipment (UE) can be determined and indicated by a gNB to a UE at an RRC connected state using one or more of the following schemes: at an RRC (Radio Resource Control) layer with an RRC configuration message, at a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer with MAC CE (MAC control element) signaling, at a PHY (Physical) layer with DCI (Downlink Control Information) signaling, jointly with RRC configuration and DCI signaling, and/or jointly with RRC configuration and MAC CE signaling. The OMA or NOMA mode that the UE operates after the transition may be requested by the UE, indicated by the gNB, and/or may be based on one or more rules for OMA-NOMA switching.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for Intra-UE Prioritization in uplink (UL) transmissions. In an example, an apparatus may receive first information indicating a first uplink grant associated with a first transmission and second information indicating a second uplink grant associated with a second transmission. The apparatus may determine, based on the first information and the second information, that the first transmission and the second transmission overlap at least partially in time. The apparatus may determine a first priority associated with the first transmission and a second priority associated with the second transmission. The apparatus may then cause, based at least in part on the first priority and the second priority, at least one of: prioritization of one transmission over another transmission, or preemption of the first transmission by the second transmission.
