摘要: A method and system for determining implementing a bidding based product delivery determination process is provided. The method includes presenting a product for purchase via a bidding process. Packages including the product are pre-loaded on delivery vehicles for delivery within geographical zones including maximum travel distances. Monetary bids for the product are received from users with respect to the delivery vehicles and a user submitting a highest monetary bid is identified. In response, a first delivery vehicle is directed to a location of the user. A profit sharing process with respect to the users and an entity providing the product is enabled.

摘要: A data storage system has multiple tiers of data storage including an upper tier having a lower access latency and a lower tier having a higher access latency. A storage controller of the data storage system implements throttling limits regulating access to data in the data storage system for a plurality of throttling units sharing the data storage system. The storage controller also tracks access frequencies of extents in the data storage system. The storage controller migrates extents among the multiple tiers based on the access frequencies of the extents and the throttling limits implemented for the throttling units.

摘要: A cognitive psychology authentication in a multi-factor authentication system. A request is received to access a secure resource associated with a user. A set of cognitive psychology questions are selected from a plurality of cognitive psychology questions for transmission to a client device associated with the request. A set of responses corresponding to the set of cognitive psychology questions are received and cognitive psychology data is generated based on the set of responses. A cognitive psychology profile associated with the user is retrieved from a database. An authentication score is calculated based on comparing the cognitive psychology data to the cognitive psychology profile. An authentication success notification is transmitted when the authentication score compares favorably to an authentication threshold. An authentication failure notification is transmitted when the authentication score compares unfavorably to the authentication threshold.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, systems, and computer program products for using a storlet erasure code object storage architecture for image processing. In one embodiment, an object is received, the object being represented as erasure coded bits. A storage location associated with the erasure coded bits is identified. A virtual machine (VM) is invoked, where the VM is configured to compute a modification to the erasure coded bits and replace the original erasure coded bits with the modified erasure coded bits.

Responsive to receiving a request to generate a snapshot of an erasure coded (EC) object in a filesystem in the object storage environment, the snapshot utility obtains a list of EC fragments from a proxy layer of the object storage environment. The snapshot utility copies a number of the EC fragments to generate the snapshot of the EC object.

摘要: A first storlet engine is monitored for a first computational algorithm. The storlet engine includes a lookup table including a first characteristic of one or more nodes, a parser unit, and a resource availability monitor. The first computational algorithm is parsed into an abstract syntax tree using a parser unit. A first category of the first computational algorithm is determined by analyzing the abstract syntax tree. A first node of the lookup table with the first characteristic matching the first category for processing the first computational algorithm is identified based on the first category of the computational algorithm. The first computational algorithm is sent to the first node for processing.

摘要: A present invention embodiment manages resources of a distributed system to perform computational tasks within a specified time interval. A received object is classified into a type of computational processing, and a quantity of objects is maintained for each type. An execution time for processing a single object is estimated based on a corresponding computation resource template. A total execution time for the quantity of objects of a type of computational processing is determined based on the estimated execution time. In response to the total execution time exceeding a user-specified time interval, an amount of resources of the distributed system is determined to process the quantity of objects of the type within the user-specified time interval. Nodes of the distributed system with objects classified in the type use the determined amount of resources to process the quantity of objects for the type within the user-specified time interval.

The method further includes identifying a first embedded computing entity that is associated with the first set of objects. The method further includes deploying an instance of the first embedded computing entity to a first network accessible computing resource. The method further includes copying the first set of objects of the workload from one or more network accessible storage devices to the first network accessible computing resource that includes the deployed instance of the first embedded computing entity. The method further includes processing the workload based, at least in part, on executing the instance of the first embedded computing entity within the first network accessible computing resource.

摘要: In an approach for determining printability of an electronic file, a computer electronically receives a file for printing. The computer parses the file for one or more of text, images, and formatting indicative of potential copyrighted material. The computer, in response to identifying any text, images, or formatting indicative of potential copyrighted material, identifies potential copyrighted material within the file. The computer determines whether the file may be printed based, at least in part, on the identified potential copyrighted material. In another approach for determining printability of an electronic document, a computer electronically receives a document for printing. The computer locates attributes associated with the document and stored in a separate database, which includes one or more of the following: ownership, licensing information, printability, and number of prints allowed. The computer determines the document is printable based on the attributes and prints the document.
