    摘要: An infrared laser-sensitive positive type image recording material comprises a support; an alkali-developer-soluble first layer formed over the support; and a second layer formed over the first layer, the solubility of the second layer in alkali-developer being improved by exposure of the second layer to an infrared laser. The first layer comprises a polymer having a structural unit represented by formula (I): wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2 represents a hydrocarbon group having (n+1) valences and having an aliphatic ring structure having 3 to 30 carbon atoms; A represents an oxygen atom or —NR3— wherein R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of from 1 to 5.

    摘要: The planographic printing plate precursor of the invention includes a recording layer capable of forming an image upon irradiation with infrared rays, wherein the recording layer comprises (A) an alkali-soluble resin having, in a main chain, a structural unit containing at least one type of bond selected from an amide bond, urea bond, urethane bond and ester bond and having at least one type of acid group selected from a phenolic hydroxyl group, sulfonamide group and active imide group, and (B) an infrared absorbing agent. The invention provides a positive-working planographic printing plate precursor excellent in printing durability and chemical resistance.

    摘要: The positive type photosensitive composition of the present invention comprises a polymer compound (A) having, in a side chain thereof, a polymerizable group or a cross-linkable group, and an infrared absorbent (B). Preferably, the polymerizable group or cross-linkable group is incorporated into molecules of the polymer compound (A) through a structural unit having this group in a side chain thereof. Specifically, the structural unit is preferably a structural unit having any one of structures represented by the following general formulae (1) to (4): wherein A, B, X each independently represents a single bond, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or the like; L and M each independently represent a bivalent organic group; R1 to R12 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group; R13 to R24 each independently represents a monovalent organic group; and Y represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or a phenylene group which may have a substituent.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a positive-type planographic printing plate precursor comprising: a hydrophilic substrate; an image recording layer including a novolak resin (A) and a light-to-heat conversion agent (B), disposed on the substrate, the image recording layer increasing in solubility in an aqueous alkali solution when exposed to light emitted from an infrared laser, wherein the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the novolak resin (A) is in a range of 500 to 10000 based on polystyrene, the molecular weight being found by a gel permeation chromatographic (GPC) method using monodispersion polystyrene as a standard, and the degree of dispersion (Mw/Mn) is 1.7 or less when the weight average molecular weight (Mw) is 500 to 3000, the degree of dispersion (Mw/Mn) is 2.0 or less when the weight average molecular weight (Mw) is 3000 to 4500, and the degree of dispersion (Mw/Mn) of the novolak resin (A) fulfills the following equation: (Mw/Mn)≦{(4·Mw−1500)/5500}, when the weight average molecular weight (Mw) is 4500 to 10000.

    摘要: A positive-type image-forming material and a planographic printing plate precursor having a recording layer composed of the material on a support. The material includes (a) a water-insoluble, aqueous alkaline solution-soluble polymer compound, (b) a light-heat converting agent, and (c) a phenol including a partial structure represented by the following formula (I). Solubility of the material in an aqueous alkaline solution is increased upon heating. In the formula (I), X represents a monovalent terminal group having 2 or more carbon atoms or a linking group of —CY1Y2— or —CHY1— in which Y1 and Y2 each represent a monovalent terminal group having 1 or more carbon atoms, W represents a monovalent terminal group, and n represents an integer from 1 to 4.

    摘要: A positive planographic printing plate precursor includes a support having disposed thereon a lower thermosensitive layer containing a water-insoluble but alkali-soluble polymer compound and an upper thermosensitive layer containing a water-insoluble but alkali-soluble polymer compound, with alkali-solubility increasing under heat, wherein (i) both the upper thermosensitive layer and the lower thermosensitive layer contain an IR absorbing dye, with the ratio of the IR absorbing dye concentration in the upper thermosensitive layer to the IR absorbing dye concentration in the lower thermosensitive layer is 1.6 to 10.0, and/or (ii) the upper thermosensitive layer and the lower thermosensitive layer contain different IR absorbing dyes, and/or (iii) at least one of the upper thermosensitive layer and the lower thermosensitive layer contains an IR absorbent having, in one molecule, at least two chromophoric groups that absorb IR light, with the chromophoric groups bonding to each other via a covalent bond.
