    摘要： An optical communication unit performs a bidirectional information transmission between a circuit device in a fixed housing and a circuit device in a moving housing with an optical signal. The optical communication unit includes a light transmitting unit that transmits the optical signal, a light receiving unit that receives the optical signal from the light transmitting unit, and a light propagation path for propagating the optical signal from the light transmitting unit to the light receiving unit. The light propagation path is disposed inside a hinge part that links the fixed housing and the moving housing in an openable and closable manner.

    摘要： A tool holder is equipped with a tip run-out correction mechanism for correcting run-out of the tip of the tool. The tip run-out correction mechanism includes an annular stepped portion formed on a cylindrical support portion of a holder body; a ring member rotatably fitted onto the annular stepped portion; an eccentric cam disposed within the ring member, the eccentric cam extending radially through the ring member and being rotatable about a radially extending axis; and a pin disposed within the ring member to be movable along a direction parallel to the center axis of a flange portion of the holder body. One end of the pin is in contact with the eccentric cam, and the other end of the pin is in contact with a rear end face of a clamp sleeve which clamps a tool inserted into a chuck sleeve of the holder body. The eccentric cam is rotated so as to adjust press force that the pin applies to the rear end face of the clamp sleeve, to thereby elastically deform a base end portion of the chuck sleeve in a radial direction in such a manner that tip run-out of the tool approaches zero.

    摘要： A verification data generating apparatus generates data that can be stored in a terminal device without sustaining unauthorized operations and has assured continuity in the order of being output. In the apparatus, a verification data holding element holds a verification data. A data generation element generates a data body at a predetermined timing. Whenever the data body is generated, a verification value generation element generates a new verification value based on the verification value held in the verification value holding element and the data body newly generated. The verification value held in the verification value holding element is then updated with the new verification value. A data storage element stores the data bodies generated by the data generating element in order. On receiving a verification data outputting request, a verification data outputting element generates a signature value based on the verification value held in the verification value holding element and outputs verification data generated by concatenating the signature value with the data body stored in the data storing element.

The end mill chucking structure includes an end mill holder and an end mill. A holder body has a taper hole formed therein. The end mill includes an end mill body and a cutting tip provided at an end portion of the end mill body. A portion of the end mill body located opposite the cutting tip serves as a tapered shank portion. The shank portion and the rest of the end mill body are bounded by a shoulder extending outward from the surface of the shank portion. The shank portion is press-fitted or shrink-fitted into the taper hole such that the end face of the holder body abuts the shoulder of the end mill body, through application to the holder body of heat at a temperature lower than a conventional shrink-fitting temperature.

    摘要： A tool holder includes a holder body which in turn includes a shank portion, a flange portion, and a tool attachment portion; a taper cone fitted to the shank portion; an elastic member interposed between a rear-end face of the flange portion and a front-end face of the taper cone; and a stopper member disposed on the shank portion so as to support a rear-end face of the taper cone. The outer surface of the taper cone is tapered at an angle equal to that at which the wall surface of a taper hole formed in a spindle of a machine tool is tapered. The inner surface of the taper cone and the outer surface of the shank portion are equally tapered at an angle smaller than the angle at which the outer surface of the taper cone is tapered. Through drawing of the holder body, the taper cone expands radially to thereby be tightly held within the taper hole. A spacer is bonded to the end face of the spindle so as to eliminate a gap which is formed between the flange portion and a spindle.

Upon receiving target data to be encrypted, an encryption key generation unit generates an encryption key in accordance with an attribute of the target data. Using the encryption key, an encryption unit encrypts the target data. The encrypted data is placed into a storage unit. When a request is made to process the encrypted data, a decryption key generation unit generates a decryption key in accordance with the attribute of the encrypted data. A decryption unit decrypts the encrypted data using the decryption key. The decrypted data is processed by a processing unit. A control unit supplies the encryption unit with the data processed by the processing unit as data to be encrypted.

    摘要： A sensor that can rapidly and accurately detect a side collision of a vehicle. The sensor includes a fixed member in a vehicle door and a movable member that has an impact receiving part. The impact receiving part has a high rigidity outside of the fixed member. The impact receiving part also has energy absorbing parts with lower rigidity and a detection part arranged opposite to the movable member at a predetermined interval above the fixed member. When the impact receiving part receives an impact exceeding a predetermined valve, the energy absorption parts are deformed so as to move the movable member. This movement is then detected by the detection part.
