摘要： A two-dimensional subchannel assigning method and apparatus in a time-frequency domain where a plurality of subcarriers are arranged along a time domain with a plurality of symbols and along a frequency domain with a plurality of subbands in an OFDM communication system. In the subchannel assigning method, the plurality of subcarriers are divided into a plurality of frequency bands and the frequency bands are grouped into the subbands. A plurality of groups are generated by dividing each of the subbands in the frequency domain by the number of the symbols in the time domain. Subcarriers selected from the respective groups in each of the subbands are assigned as an AMC subchannel to which an AMC scheme is applied.

The power control method includes the steps of calculating a first offset according to traffic information of a mobile station and data transmission channel quality information of the mobile station, determining a second offset according to received channel quality information of the mobile station, received from the mobile station, determining a third offset according to interference information received from other base stations neighboring the base station, and transmitting, to the mobile station, power control information determined based on the first offset, the second offset and the third offset.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving Channel Quality Information (CQI) in a communication system. A Base Station (BS) transmits, to a Subscriber Station (SS), a request for CQI of a resource region corresponding to a frequency reuse factor K, which is designated by the BS. The BS then receives, from the SS, the CQI of the resource region corresponding to a channel quality measured by the SS. The channel quality is measured by the SS by measuring a boosted reference signal and compensating the boosted reference signal for a non-boosted signal.

摘要： A method for allocating frequency resources by a Base Station (BS) in a frequency overlay system is provided. The method includes grouping at least one Mobile Station (MS) capable of using the same Frequency Allocation (FA), according to zones, multicasting zone information indicating a frequency resource available for each zone to at least one MS belonging to a corresponding zone, unicasting resource allocation information indicating an allocated frequency resource to at least one MS to which the frequency resource is allocated, among the grouped MSs, and communicating with the at least one MS using the allocated frequency resource indicated by the resource allocation information, within the frequency resource indicated by the zone information.

摘要： A wireless communication system that divides an entire frequency band into a plurality of subcarrier bands and includes a plurality of subchannels, each of which is a set of a predetermined number of subcarrier bands. As many subcarrier groups as the number of the base stations are generated by classifying the subcarrier bands in a predetermined period. For a particular base station, corresponding subcarrier bands are detected from each of the groups according to a predetermined sequence. The subcarrier bands detected from each of the groups are assigned as a subchannel for the particular base station.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving channel quality information (CQI) in a communication system having a frame including subchannels corresponding to the same frequency reuse factor or different frequency reuse factors. A base station (BS) allocates at least one of the subchannels in the frame to a subscriber station (SS), and sends a transmission request for a CQI for a subchannel desired to be received, to the SS. The SS measures channel quality for individual subchannels requested by the BS in response to the CQI request, and transmits the measured channel quality to the BS.
