摘要： A dielectric ceramic composition comprises a main component composed of at least one selected from BaTiO3, (Ba, Ca)TiO3, (Ba, Sr)TiO3 and (Ba, Ca, Sr)TiO3, an oxide of rare earth element and a composite compound including Ba. 9 to 13 mol of the composite compound in terms of composite compound is included in the dielectric composition. The dielectric ceramic composition includes surface diffusion particles having surface diffusion structure composed of non diffusion phase and diffusion phase including rare earth element. In the surface diffusion particle, when an area of the non diffusion phase is defined as S1, an area of the diffusion phase is defined as S2, S1 and S2 satisfy a relation of S1:S2=20:80 to 30:70 (Note that, except S1=30 and S2=70), when an average concentration of the rare earth element in the surface diffusion particle is defined as C, S2 and C satisfy a relation of 4.8≦S2×C≦5.8. By the present invention, dielectric ceramic composition which improves reliability with obtaining good specific permittivity and temperature characteristic and electronic component to which the dielectric ceramic composition is applied can be obtained.

摘要： A spark plug has a tubular fitting which is assembled with a center electrode, a ground electrode and an insulator. The fitting has a reach length of at least 12 mm for use in high output-type engines. The fitting is formed with a thread part and a taper part so that the fitting is thread engaged with an engine head and seals a combustion chamber from an outside by a contact between the taper part and a seat surface of the engine head. The fitting is made by cold-forging a low carbon steel to provide the taper surface of a surface roughness of less than 10 &mgr;m and a column part. The column part is machine-cut to provide the thread part thereon. The deflection between the axes of the thread part and the taper part is limited to be less than 0.15 mm.

摘要： A focus servo control system is a system for selectively applying a light beam to a disk on which data is recorded on plurally layered recording surfaces and setting the focus position of the light beam on a selected recording surface of the two-layered recording surfaces based on a signal read from reflected light from the selected recording surface of the plurally layered recording surfaces of the disk and includes a focus error detector for detecting a positional difference between the focus position of the light beam and the selected recording surface of the plurally layered recording surfaces, a sample-hold circuit for sampling and holding an output of the focus error detector, a focus position correcting circuit for correcting the focus position of the light beam based on one of the output of the focus error detector and an output of the sample-hold circuit, a data signal level detector for detecting the signal level relating to data read out from the disk, a comparator for comparing a signal level detected by the data signal level detector with a predetermined level to output the result of comparison, and a selector for selecting one of the output of the focus error detector and the output of the sample-hold circuit as an input signal of the focus position correcting circuit based on the output of the comparator.

摘要： The invention relates to a swirl-chamber Diesel engine. A swirl-chamber Diesel engine is disclosed which has a main combustion chamber, a swirl chamber, and a communicating passage for connecting them. The problem encountered is that, when the engine runs at low speeds, fuel droplets within the swirl chamber will gather and flow along the communicating passage into the main combustion chamber. To prevent this unfavorable fuel flow, a depression is formed within the swirl chamber to collect the fuel droplets. The depression is disposed adjacent to and communicating with the communicating passage via a rounded lip to provide an arrangement which will make it easy for the combustion gases flow to draw the collected fuel from the depression. Since the fuel is drawn from the depression by the combustion gases flow, carbonization of fuel on the depression wall will not take place.
