A container for disks has an improved latching mechanism. The container comprises a cassette with sidewalls with slots for holding disks in an axial arrangement, two opposite endwalls each have a U-shaped recess extending downwardly from the open top, a top cover with a rectangular top portion and two end portions extend downwardly to cover the U-shaped recess. The top cover latches to the cassette by way of a latching mechanism which includes a living hinge, an extension portion, and a hook portion all on each end portion. The hook portion cooperates and engages with a cooperative catch member on the cassette. The extension member is under tension to secure the top cover in place. In an alternate embodiment, recesses on the extension portion connect to nubs on the cassettes or on the bottom cover to secure the top cover in place.

On manufacturing a low voltage electron beam excitation phosphor display apparatus (10) which includes an anode (6) having a principal surface and enclosed in a vacuum chamber (1, 2, and 3), a phosphor film (7) formed on the principal surface, and a cathode (9) enclosed in the vacuum chamber opposite to the phosphor film, a phosphor is prepared which consists essentially of an oxisulfide and an oxide which is inevitably formed on a surface of the oxisulfide on preparing the phosphor. The oxisulfide is represented by Ln.sub.2 O.sub.2 S:R, where Ln is at least one selected from a group consisting of Gd, La, Y, and Lu and where R is a rare-earth element. The oxide is removed from the phosphor to produce an oxide-removed phosphor. A pasts comprising a mixture of the oxide-removed phosphor, a conductive material, and an autolytic type binder is coated on the principal surface of the anode which is formed on an insulating substrate (1) constituting the vacuum chamber. The binder of the paste is heated in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to form, on the principal surface of the anode, the phosphor film which has the oxide-removed phosphor and the conductive material. The anode and the cathode are enclosed in the vacuum chamber to obtain a manufactured low voltage electron beam excitation phosphor display apparatus. The oxide may be Ln.sub.2 O.sub.3 into which a component Ln.sub.2 O.sub.2 S of the oxisulfide is changed.

In the apparatus, the DC-DC converter includes a reactor, a switching element and a capacitor which are interconnected so that the DC-DC converter can generate an output voltage higher or lower than an input voltage.

A magnetron suited for use in microwave ovens includes a cylindrical anode surrounding interaction spaces for producing a microwave and a cylindrical portion extending from the cylindrical anode. A partition disk-like plate having a plurality of coupling openings is disposed in the cylindrical extension thereby to define a coaxial type cavity resonator. The coupling openings of the partition plate are located in the vicinity of vanes provided in the interaction spaces for producing the microwave and positioned in alignment with every other one of the vanes. An inner conductor of the coaxial type cavity resonator has an end connected to the partition plate and the other end extending to the end of the cylindrical anode. The center axis of the cavity resonator substantially coincides with that of the cylindrical anode. The end of the extension of the cylindrical anode is closed by a conductor plate through an insulator member disposed between the conductive plate and the other end portion of the inner conductor. An output antenna connected to the inner conductor at the side of the closed end projects outwardly in coaxial alignment with the cylindrical anode.
