摘要： An ink jet printing apparatus and a print head recovery method are provided which effectively execute a preliminary ejection to eject ink not contributing to image printing from nozzle opening of the print head to maintain the ink ejection performance in good condition. The ink in the print head is heated to a first temperature, at which a first preliminary ejection is executed. Then, when the ink temperature falls to a second temperature, which is lower than the first temperature, a second preliminary ejection is executed.

摘要： A dew formation testing device has an adjustment tank capable of adjusting the temperature and humidity of air to predetermined temperature and humidity, a testing tank installed separately from the adjustment tank and having a sample base that has a mounting surface, onto which a testing sample W can be placed, and that is capable to cool the mounting surface, and ducts that link the adjustment unit and the testing tank. The testing tank is provided with an air guide member that, when air flowing into the testing tank through the duct flows onto the sample base from a side of the sample base, guides the air in the direction tilted downward at a predetermined angle, the guidance being performed at a position right above the sample base at an end thereof which is on the upstream side of the air flow.

摘要： An ionomer resin composition according to the present invention is obtained by bringing a functional group-containing olefin copolymer (A) having a structural unit derived from a cyclic olefin in the range of 10 percent by mol or more and having a group derived from an acid and/or a derivative thereof as the functional group into contact with a metal compound (B). A shaped article having well-balanced two excellent properties of the optical characteristics and the moisture permeability can be formed by using the ionomer resin composition.

摘要： The order of the arrangement of ejection opening arrays of two types of ink overlapping in reciprocating scan is decided as follows. An ejection order is decided so that the case where the fixing areas of a main droplet and a satellite are different (dot area is increased) in the forward and backward scan first occurs. By this configuration, the area of the dot and the portion in which different colors are generated due to the difference in the overlapping order in the reciprocating scan can be reduced, compared with the case where the arrangement order is opposite to the above-described case. As a result, a difference in color between areas for which printing is completed by the reciprocating scanning is reduced and thus color unevenness of a printed image can be reduced.

摘要： A laser module has an optical amplifier, a first etalon and a wavelength selectable mirror. The first etalon has wavelength peaks at a given wavelength interval in transmission characteristics and transmits a light from the optical amplifier. The wavelength peaks are tunable. The wavelength selectable mirror acts as an external mirror of an external cavity laser including the optical amplifier, and has a relatively high reflection intensity at a part of wavelength range in an effective gain range of the optical amplifier. The effective gain range of the optical amplifier includes more than one wavelength peak of the first etalon. A reflection bandwidth where the wavelength selectable mirror has a relatively high reflection intensity is less than twice of the wavelength interval of the wavelength peaks of the first etalon.
