Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for for the production of a halogen-containing phthalocyaline compound by the cyclization of phthalonitrile compounds either singly or in combination with a metal compound, characterized in effecting the cyclization in an organic compound having a hydroxyl group and/or a carboxylic acid in an amount in the range of 0.01-10 mass parts per one mass part of the phthalonitrile compounds while continuing the introduction of an inert gas. This method, by using a solvent capable of serving as a specific oxygen source destined to participate in the reaction of complexing a metal compound introduced into a phthalocyanine dye, permits the production of a phthalocyanine compound inexpensively in a high yield.
Abstract:
A phthalocyanine compound is provided which exhibits particularly high transmittance to a visible ray, offers a highly efficient cut of a near infrared ray, excels in the ability to effect selective absorption in a near infrared region, excels in the solubility in a solvent, excels in the compatibility with a resin, and excels in heat resistance, light resistance, and weatherability, a method for the production thereof, a near infrared absorbable dye using the same, and a heat ray shielding material, a plasma display grade filter and a near infrared absorbable material formed thereof. The phthalocyanine compound of this invention is represented by the following formula (1): wherein Z2, Z3, Z6, Z7, Z10, Z11, Z14, and Z15 independently stand for SR1, OR2, or a halogen atom, provided that at least one of them stands for SR1 or OR2; Z1, Z4, Z5, Z5, Z9, Z12, Z13, and Z16 independently stand for NHR3, SR1, OR2, or a halogen atom, provided that at least one of them stands for NHR3 and at least four of them stand for OR2; a plurality of R1, R2, and R3, independently to each other, stand for a substituted or non-substituted phenyl group, a substituted or non-substituted aralkyl group, or a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and M stands for a nonmetal, a metal, a metal oxide, or a metal halide.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a display unit for displaying characters and figures, an auxiliary memory unit for storing picture data, a transmission unit for transmitting data with to other information processing apparatuses, and a transmission control unit for controlling data transmission between information processing apparatuses; wherein designated picture data is automatically clipped, and the information processing apparatus further includes a control unit for automatically controlling transfer of a file including the clipped picture data to a designated one of the other information processing apparatuses via the transmission unit, whereby it becomes easy to transfer the file to other information processing apparatuses connected via a transmission unit, thereby the operating efficiency of the information processing apparatus.
Abstract:
A method of help-information control for displaying help information on a display unit of an information processing system executing a plurality of application programs. A status management table for storing the executing status of application programs is provided as common to these programs. During execution of a given application program, the contents of the status information table are updated successively in accordance with the executing status. Whenever an operator makes a help request, the contents of the status management table in effect at that point in time are referenced. The table is searched for the help information corresponding to the request. When found and retrieved, the information is displayed. The search is performed using a program identifier, a message identifier, and a help message searching table that includes the position information containing the corresponding help data. Each application program is equipped with a control data part that makes it possible to reference help data of other application programs.
Abstract:
A wheel examining system for examining a two-axle or three-axle vehicle is provided. The wheel examining system includes a wheel examining apparatus for examining a wheel in particular as to its alignment. A wheel guide apparatus is provided for guiding a wheel into a predetermined examining site. The wheel guide apparatus includes a plurality of rollers arranged in different levels and orientations so that the wheel may be smoothly and properly guided into the examining site. A three-axle vehicle examining system includes three different examining sections one of which may be shifted in a transverse direction to determine a discrepancy in alignment of three axles. A wheel examining apparatus includes a roller clamp unit which includes left-hand contact rollers and right-hand contact rollers which may be brought into the opposite sides of a wheel. A pair of left-hand and right-hand angle detectors are provided in association with the left-hand and right-hand contact rollers to thereby detect the orientations of the opposite sides of a wheel independently. A floating support structure constructed by using a plurality of linear motion guide units is also provided.
Abstract:
A card authenticating apparatus for a card-based transaction processing system. A device is incorporated which allows a sales-person of a store equipped with the apparatus to automatically call a card controlling operator of a card issuer company for consultation as to completion of the transaction in concern, as occasion requires.
Abstract:
An ophthalmic solution suitable for adjusting intraocular pressure comprising (A) an ophthalmologically acceptable, water-soluble salt of 2-acetyl-7-(2-hydroxy-3-isopropylaminopropoxy)benzofuran, (B) benzalkonium chloride or benzethonium chloride, and (C) a member selected from polyvinyl alcohol, methyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, the solution being adjusted to pH 5.0 to 8.0 with a buffer agent. The components (B) and (C) increase greately the intraocular penetration of the component (A) and reduce the irritation to eye of the component (A) so that the pharmacological action of the component (A) can be effectively exhibited. The ophthalmic solution produces an excellent effect on decreasing of intraocular pressure with reduced irritation to eye and stability for a long term.
Abstract:
The present invention suppresses charges incurred by data communications. A controller transmits data values acquired by sensors to a data center at predetermined intervals. When a predetermined interval has elapsed, a data value to be transmitted is compared with the previously transmitted data value, and in the absence of a change that is equal to or more than a predetermined variation amount, this data value is not transmitted. When such a state in which data values are not transmitted continues for a predetermined interval or more, the data value is transmitted irrespective of the data value variation amount. Further, when the data value has changed abruptly, the data value is transmitted even if the predetermined interval has not yet elapsed. The present invention can be applied to a controller that transmits data values acquired by sensors to a data center for collecting these data values.
