摘要: An improved optical focusing system is provided which includes a parabolic reflector and a fresnel lens situated with respect to one another to share a common focus point. The improved system is designed to collimate substantially all of the available light emitted from a light source located at the common focus point and project the light along a projecting axis. Depending on the limitations placed upon the size of the parabolic reflector, a retroreflector situated about the periphery of the fresnel lens can be added to the system to maximize the amount of emitted light which the system can process and collimate.

摘要: An aerosol dispenser having a labyrinth or tortuous passage flow control body to cause gradual reduction in pressure and effect separation of the product and propellent issuing from an aerosol container into gaseous and liquid components, the components between discharge cycles collecting in an accumulator region containing a snap action diaphram, which in response to a selected pressure, snaps open to discharge a small quantity of product and propellent in predetermined sequence to produce a crisp discharge of the product without initial or residual dribble or trickle. The dispenser may be formed integrally with the container and thus expendable, or the pressure reducing and flow control means may be integral with the container and expendable therewith, the remaining portion of the dispenser being removable for reuse, or the entire dispenser may be arranged for removable attachment to a conventional container. Also, the dispenser may include a manual override. Still further, the dispenser may be arranged to discharge a single phase aerosol in which the propellent is distributed throughout the product, or arranged to discharge a dual phase aerosol, in which the product and propellent exist in a separated state in the container.

摘要: A valve assembly can automatically dispense aerosol content from an aerosol container at predetermined intervals without the use of electric power. A diaphragm at least partially defines an accumulation chamber that receives aerosol content from the can during an accumulation phase. Once the internal pressure of the accumulation chamber reaches a predetermined threshold, the diaphragm moves axially, carrying with it a leg so as to unseal an outlet, and thereby initiate a spray burst. A pawl extends from the diaphragm, and engages a retention surface to resist movement of the diaphragm and prolong the accumulation phase. The diaphragm assumes its original position when the pressure within the accumulation chamber falls below a threshold pressure.

摘要: A rolling shutter system employs a variable efficiency bi-directional drive mechanism which permits easy and quick raising of the rolling shutter while protecting against self-lowering of the shutter by reason of its own weight. The system also employs a novel operator for the bi-directional drive mechanism which is characterized by an easy and comfortable to grip bead string which also is attractive in appearance. The bead string is trained about a sprocket wheel, and an overload slip clutch is provided between the sprocket wheel and worm gear drive to limit the amount of force that can be applied to the bead string during raising and lowering of the rolling shutter. Also provided is a novel shutter travel limit and locking device, a novel valance construction and a novel through the wall shaft assembly.
