Abstract: Ultraviolet (UV) light emission devices and related methods of use. The UV light emission devices disclosed herein are particularly suited for use in disinfecting surfaces and air. The UV light emission devices disclosed herein can be provided in the form factor of a handheld device that is easily held and manipulated by a human user. The human user can manipulate the handheld UV light emission device to decontaminate surfaces, air, and other areas by orienting the handheld UV light emission device so that the UV light emitted from its light source is directed to the area of interest to be decontaminated.

Abstract: A portable lantern light is configured to be operated in a range of selectable operational modes to provide flexible illumination solutions in both stationary and portable situations. The lantern light includes an elongated central body with a plurality of external longitudinal ribs, longitudinal channels positioned between a pair of external ribs, a lighting element residing within the channel, and a lens overlying the lighting element that acts as a primary optic. A power source that includes a battery cartridge is removably inserted within a receiver of the central body. The lantern light includes an operating mode selector assembly to control which lighting elements are illuminated during operation of the portable lantern light, and a luminosity selector assembly to selectively control the lumen output (brightness) of the lighting elements. The lantern light also includes a retractable stabilization assembly that can be deployed to stabilize the light on a support surface.

Abstract: A bottle light that is stored within a cap that threads onto a standard bicycle type water bottle. One set of LED lights within the cap point in a horizontal direction and can act as a lantern. Another LED light or set of LED lights point downward to illuminate the contents of the bottle. An on-off switch can be consecutively pushed to allow the user to choose between lantern mode or bottle lighting mode or both at once. Additionally, a microprocessor contained within the cap allows the user to choose to illuminate the contents of the bottle in white light, colored light or a cycling display of colored light. A rotatable handle on the outside of the cap allows a person to carry the device as a lantern.

Abstract: A method of warning a person of a first vehicle entering a defined boundary. An electronic safety marker is provided proximate the defined boundary. The electronic safety market has an electrical current source, a transmitter, an impact sensor and electrical circuitry interconnecting the electrical current source, the transmitter and the impact sensor. The electronic safety marker is deployed from a second vehicle proximate the defined boundary. A signal is transmitted with the transmitter after the electronic safety marker is deployed. A receiver is positioned a distance from the electronic safety marker. The receiver is capable of receiving the signal. The electronic safety marker is struck by first vehicle. Transmission of the signal is ceased when the electronic safety marker is struck by the first vehicle. An alarm is emitted from the receiver when the receiver ceases receiving the signal to warn the person of the first vehicle entering the defined boundary.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a piece of fabric with a slot formed in the piece of fabric. The apparatus includes light emitting diodes (LEDs) positioned within the slot. The apparatus also includes a button operatively coupled to the LEDs such that the LEDs are configured to illuminate upon depression of the button. An apparatus is also provided that includes the piece of fabric with the slot formed in the piece of fabric and LEDs within the slot. The apparatus also includes a motion sensor to measure a motion parameter of the piece of fabric. The motion sensor is operatively coupled to the LEDs such that the LEDs are illuminated when the motion parameter exceeds a motion threshold.
