    Abstract: A linear compressor includes a casing, a back cover supported in the casing, an intake flow path member coupled to the back cover, and an intake muffler of which at least a portion linearly reciprocates inside the intake flow path member. The intake flow path member includes a first hole that is formed in a front surface and is penetrated by the intake muffler, and a flow path guide that extends axially forward from a rear surface and has an opened front and an opened rear. A noise of a refrigerant passing through the intake flow path member can be reduced through an expansion space between the flow path guide and an inner surface of the intake flow path member.

    Abstract: A linear compressor includes: a shell including an intake pipe configured to suction a refrigerant, a piston including a piston body, an intake muffler including a first muffler that includes a first muffler body defining a main flow passage and a first muffler flange extending in a radial direction from the first muffler body, and at least one auxiliary flow passage disposed between an outer peripheral surface of the first muffler body and an inner peripheral surface of the piston body and configured to guide the refrigerant remaining between the first muffler body and the piston body to an outside of the piston. A cross-sectional area of the at least one auxiliary flow passage is less than a cross-sectional area of an inlet hole provided at a rear end of the main flow passage and greater than or equal to 10% of the cross-sectional area of the inlet hole.

    Abstract: A compressor includes a casing, a piston accommodated in a cylinder disposed inside the casing to reciprocate forward and backward, the piston being configured to define a suction space in which a refrigerant is accommodated therein, a suction muffler connected to the piston to guide the refrigerant to the suction space, a suction guide disposed behind the suction muffler and fixed to the casing, the suction guide being disposed parallel to the suction muffler in an axial direction, and a suction pipe passing through the casing to extend into the suction guide, the suction pipe being configured to suction the refrigerant. A portion of the suction muffler is disposed to overlap the suction guide in a direction crossing the axial direction.

    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell, a cylinder accommodated into the shell and defining a compression space for a refrigerant, a frame to which the cylinder may be fixed, a piston that reciprocates within the cylinder in an axial direction and compresses a refrigerant supplied to the compression space, a discharge valve that discharges the refrigerant compressed in the compression space, a discharge cover coupled to the frame and defining a discharge space in which the refrigerant discharged from the compression space by opening of the discharge valve may be collected, a valve spring that supports the discharge valve, and a support integrally formed with the valve spring by insert injection molding and coupled to the discharge cover. The valve spring may define one or more holes filled with a molding liquid used to form the support in the insert injection molding of the support.

    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell in which a discharge port is provided, a cylinder disposed in the shell to define a compression space for a refrigerant, a piston disposed to be reciprocated in an axial direction within the cylinder, a discharge valve disposed on or at one side of the cylinder to selectively discharge the refrigerant compressed in the compression space, the discharge valve including an insertion protrusion, and a valve spring coupled to the discharge valve to provide a restoring force to the discharge valve. The valve spring may include a spring body having a central portion defined at a portion corresponding to a center of the cylinder, and an insertion hole defined in the spring body. The insertion hole may be coupled to the insertion protrusion of the discharge valve. The central portion of the spring body may be spaced apart from a central portion of the insertion hole.
