    Abstract: In a linear motor and the linear compressor having the same according to the present disclosure, a plurality of magnets are coupled to a stator equipped with a winding coil, and a mover core made of magnetic material instead of a permanent magnet is provided on the mover, and by the magnetizing plurality of magnets in the same direction, the motor output can increase by increasing thrust instead of decreasing the centering force for the mover core. In addition, as it is applied to a two-pore motor, it is possible to easily control the mover core and to easily perform an assembly operation and a magnetization operation for the magnet. In addition, as the stator is made of a grain-oriented core, core loss may be reduced and the motor efficiency may be improved.

The linear compressor may include a shell having a cylindrical shape, a shell cover that covers both open ends of the shell, a cylinder accommodated into the shell and defining a compression space for a refrigerant, a piston that reciprocates within the cylinder in an axial direction to compress the refrigerant within the compression space, a motor assembly including a motor that provides power to the piston and a stator cover that supports the motor, and resonant springs seated on the stator cover that support the piston to allow the piston to perform a resonant motion. The resonant springs may be circularly arranged at three points having a same interval around a center in an axial direction.

The intake muffler includes a first muffler disposed inside the piston body, a second muffler disposed at a rear side of the first muffler and in fluid communication with the first muffler, and a third muffler including a third muffler body having a cylindrical shape with an empty interior and configured to accommodate a portion of a rear end of the first muffler and the second muffler in the third muffler body. The third muffler body includes a streamlined portion having diameters reduced toward a rear side of the third muffler body in the axial direction.
