Abstract: Disclosed herein are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the mobile terminal. The present invention includes a touch screen, and a controller configured to display a 3D view in a first direction on the touch screen with a view point of a first location when the controller displays a 2D map on the touch screen and receives a touch input in the first direction from the first location of the 2D map. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a user may check the 3D view in a particular direction from a particular location in the 2D map.
