Abstract:
A referenceless self-clocking (n,k) bar code word allows conveyance of information without the need of any start and/or stop code pattern or other reference; a code word pattern is repeated at least in part without space therebetween according to a given n,k coding convention so that any k pair of adjacent data code elements sensed by any sensing means according to the n,k coding convention will consist of n units (e.g., bar code modules), thus allowing the data code elements of the code word to be decoded most accurately without any reference pattern. One application of this coding is on round or cylindrical objects like coins, casino chips and the like, and this coding is also well suited for linear or other coding applications wanting to convey coded information without the use of a start/stop code or reference pattern using n,k coding. This coding may or mayn't include error control, for example, as disclosed herein.
Abstract:
The new generic bar code decoder system described, with its multistage error correcting, is far more powerful than dedicated reference decode algorithms for popular linear and two dimensional bar codes. For example: the 1-7 and 2-8 EAN and UPC character substitution problems are 100% solved (because EAN and UPC become 100% self-checking with the new decoder); the ink spread tolerance improves, especially for EAN, UPC, Code 128 and Code 16K; far greater levels of random systematic edge noise are tolerated and decoded; even many spike edge errors greater than 0.50.times. module can be corrected; and, generous levels of acceleration are tolerated. These are all the ways bar code scanning data gets distorted. Using this new generic decoder system, the ultimate linear binary coded binary bar code with error correcting, BCB, also described, performs dramatically better than any other, despite being more compact. Computer simulation testing of the generic bar code decoder has already been conducted on BCB and UPC timing count scan data records that were distorted with various levels of ink spread, noise, spikes and acceleration using new bar code testbench software, all of which is also described including test results, to show the advances that have been made in bar code science.
Abstract:
Sex paraphernalia comprising a platform assembly 7 (Rabbutt™) which has a dildo 11 on one side facing one way and a rabbit 13 on the other side facing the other way, configured so that, when Pants with a crotch opening (Rabbutt Hole Pants™) as disclosed herein, or a strap-on dildo harness, are worn by a lady user with the rabbit side of the assembly inside facing her clitoris and the dildo sticking out through the opening, she may insert the dildo into a partner with the rabbit pleasing her clitoris while she bangs away. Pants may have cutouts for spanking or caressing. Pants may be suitable for outdoor wearing (without the platform assemble) to attract a sex partner who is in-the-know, or to raise questions from others like, what's the hole for? Jackets suitable with Pants may complete the ensemble. Embodiments also lend themselves to a lone lady for masturbation.
Abstract:
Electronic delivery of counterfeit-resistant documents exchangeable for value such as admission tickets, gift certificates, coupons, vouchers, etc. directly to the person who ordered the documents over an open communications network such at the Internet. A first party orders a document from a second party, and the second party electronically delivers the ordered, counterfeit-resistant document to a device designated by the first party. For example, the document may be electronically ordered using a PC, and a printer coupled to the PC may print the document. Alternatively, the electronic information may be provided to a fax, or the document ordered by telephone and electronically delivered to a PC or fax. The document may be made counterfeit resistant by assigning unique information to each document of a given type, e.g., admission tickets, and checking the uniqueness of a document prior to allowing it to be exchanged for value.
Abstract:
In a single or double action revolver, an improvement that prevents the cylinder from advancing upon being recocked should the revolver be decocked (uncocked) without firing. During or after decocking, a pawl (hand) retainer may be automatically set or manually set by the shooter. When the retainer is set it prevents the pawl from engaging the cylinder ratchet and rotating the cylinder past a live round when recocked. The retainer may be automatically or manually reset so that the cylinder will advance when the revolver is subsequently recocked.
Abstract:
Improved inverters for use in cars and other vehicles, and a “Car Timer for 12v Socket” are disclosed. For example, the invention comprises embodiments including but not limited to systems, methods and apparatus such as: (i) the inverter may have an always-active automatic-off timer; (ii) a user settable timer to turn off the inverter; (iii) an always-on and or a timed 12v DC socket(s); (iv) an always-on and or a timed A.C. outlet(s) (like household outlets); (v) a charger for rechargeable batteries including AAA, AA, C and or D batteries; (vi) a separate “Car Timer for 12v Socket” device (without an inverter) may have a settable timer controlled 12v DC socket(s) and an always-on socket; and (vii) lights, such as LEDs, may be used to convey more information than has been conveyed previously.
Abstract:
A fully automatic table game player tracking system for blackjack and other casino games is disclosed. The system utilizes a computer-controlled combination imaging system in each table game. The system captures facial images to compare with images stored in the casino's database in order to automatically identify players without the need to swipe a player's magnetic ID card. It also captures images of a player's wagered chips to automatically calculate his/her total bet, average bet, number of hands played, etc., in order to accurately rate a player to determine “comps” without using casino employees to make manual estimates of a player's betting activity. In addition, if their facial images are stored, casinos could also identify casino cheats and other undesirables, and, if facial images from the FBI, Interpol, etc., were also stored in the casino database or available online via the Internet or otherwise, the system could identify terrorists, drug dealers, counterfeiters and other criminals and threats to society.
