Abstract: A rear window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed window panel. The rear window assembly may be a rear slider window assembly, with the fixed window panel fixed relative to a frame portion and defining an opening, and with a movable window panel movable along the frame portion between a closed position and an opened position. A lighting device is disposed at an inner surface of the fixed window panel and includes an interior lighting element that is operable to emit light that passes through a light transmissive portion of a housing of the lighting device so as to illuminate an interior cabin of the vehicle. The lighting device may also include an exterior lighting element that is operable to emit light that passes through the fixed window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the slider window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle.

Abstract: A rear slider window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable between a closed position and an opened position. The movable window panel includes a laminated movable window panel having an electrical element disposed between an inner glass panel and an outer glass panel. The first electrical element is in electrical connection with a wire harness of the vehicle via a flexible connector electrically connected to a first electrical connector at an inner surface of the movable window panel and to a second electrical connector at the inner surface of the fixed window panel. The first electrical connector is electrically connected to the first electrical element via a thin flat connector that extends from the first electrical connector and wraps around a perimeter edge of the inner glass panel of the movable window panel.

Abstract: A rear liftgate window assembly for a vehicle includes a glass window panel configured to be pivotally mounted at a rear portion of a vehicle so as to be pivotable between a closed position and an opened position. A heater grid includes a plurality of electrically conductive traces established at the inner surface of the glass window panel. A pair of busbars are established at the inner surface of the glass window panel and extend outboard of at least one side region of the inner surface of the window panel that contacts a seal at the vehicle when the glass window panel is in the closed position. Electrical connectors are electrically connected to the busbars outboard of the side region. The electrical connectors are configured to electrically connect to a power source of the vehicle when the rear liftgate window assembly is mounted at the vehicle.

Abstract: A rear window assembly for a vehicle includes upper and side frame portions configured to be attached at a vehicle, first and second fixed window panels having an opening therebetween, and a movable window panel. The upper and side frame portions are attached at the inner surfaces of the fixed window panels. The fixed window panels have respective side channels disposed along an inboard side region thereof. The movable window panel includes a side guide element disposed at its inner surface and along opposite side regions thereof. The side guide elements are movably received along the side channels such that the movable window panel is movable between a raised closed position and a lowered opened position. When the movable window panel is at least partially closed, the outer surface of the movable window panel is generally flush or generally coplanar with the outer surfaces of the fixed window panels.

Abstract: A sunroof assembly for a vehicle includes first and second side rails adhesively attached at an in-cabin surface of a vehicle glass roof, which has an aperture formed therethrough and between the side rails. A movable glass sunroof panel is movable along the side rails between a closed position and an opened position. When the movable panel is in its closed position, the movable panel is disposed at the aperture and has its upper surface generally co-planar with the upper surface of the vehicle glass roof. The elongated sealing portions are joined at adjacent ends to form a perimeter seal. The perimeter seal is adhesively attached at a surface of fixed window panel so as to circumscribe the opening and to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in the closed position.
