Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for simultaneous transmission and reception of data wirelessly using different wireless bands. The multi-link operations described herein can provide higher network throughput and improved network flexibility compared to traditional techniques to wireless communication. Link management operations such as enabling and disabling of a link may be performed by an AP or STA by sending a frame over a link that is currently active. Moreover, an AP may request a switch to a different link available on the AP side for MLO, for example, when a link is occupied by interference and is not available when AP needs to use the link, and the operating parameters of a target link can be updated.

Abstract: A method of very high throughput (VHT) operation information subfields design for IEEE 802.11 WLAN is proposed. The VHT operation information subfields comprise a channel width, a channel center frequency segment 0 (CCFS0), and a channel center frequency segment 1 (CCFS1). Multiple definitions of the VHT operation information subfields have been adopted by different access points (AP)s and wireless stations (STAs). In accordance with one novel aspect, upon receiving the VHT operation information element broadcasted by an AP, an STA will first check the channel width indicated by the AP. The STA then follows different definitions under different channel widths. Under such method, the STA can support up to 160 MHz operation mode with APs following different definitions and operating up to 160 MHz mode.

Abstract: A method for performing wireless communication in MLO architecture is applicable to an AP MLD connected with a non-AP MLD through multiple links. The multiple links include at least a first link and a second link, the non-AP MLD operates in ML-SMPS mode. The method includes transmitting an initial control frame to the non-AP MLD via the first link, to trigger at least one link of the multiple links to be activated at the non-AP MLD to support a reception with respective negotiated number of spatial streams, receiving a response frame via the first link in response to the transmission of the initial control frame, and initiating frame exchange between the AP MLD and the non-AP MLD via a target link of the at least one link. The target link is selected from the at least one link according to the response frame. The first link is a primary link.
