    摘要: A multi-layer bag assembly is used with a housing for collecting particles from air flowing through the multi-layer bag assembly. Multi-layer bag assembly includes at least two bags arranged one inside the other. Each of the bags includes an air permeable filtering material for collecting particles carried by air flowing through the material. The air permeable filtering material being may be the same or different for the at least two bags. The multi-layer bag assembly includes structure for holding the at least two bags in a wide open position. The structure may be a cooperating bag structure incorporated in the at least two bags for cooperating with the housing for selectively holding the respective bags in their respective open conditions. The structure may also be a removable collar attached to at the open portion of the at least two bags, where the removable collar is part of an integral collar of the multi-layer bag assembly. The removable collar of the innermost bag is separable from the remaining portion of the integral collar for enabling the withdrawal of the innermost bag of the at least two bags.

    摘要: A sensor for sensing a parameter such as position, comprises: (i) an excitation winding for example coils (7, 9) in quadrature; (ii) a signal generator (41, 42, 43) operable to generate an excitation signals and arranged to apply the generated excitation signal to the excitation winding; (iii) a sense coil (11) that can be electromagnetically coupled to the excitation winding such that, in response to the excitation signal being applied to the excitation winding by the signal generator, a periodic electric signal is generated in the sense coil that is indicative of the value of the parameter to be measured by the sensor; and (iv) a signal processor (108) operable to process the periodic electric signal generated in the sensor winding to determine a value representative of the parameter being measured. The signal processor may be arranged to generate a second signal (f1) at a frequency slightly different from that of the excitation signal, and to mix the second signal with the signal received from the sense coil to generate a third signal having a frequency component (f0−f1) equal to the difference between the frequency of the excitation signal and that of the second signal. The processing unit then determines the parameter from the phase of the third signal.

    摘要: A fluid aspiration device is provided having a syringe, a disposal reservoir and a disposal fluid passageway. The syringe has a variable-volume fluid chamber and an aspiration fluid passageway between the fluid chamber and a region of the body containing a fluid for aspiration. An aspiration valve is positioned in the aspiration fluid passageway. The disposal fluid passageway is between the fluid chamber and disposal reservoir and has a disposal valve positioned therein. The fluid is aspirated by expanding the variable volume of the fluid chamber to draw the fluid through the open aspiration valve into the fluid chamber. The aspiration valve is closed and the variable volume of the fluid chamber is contracted to open the disposal valve and displace the fluid into the disposal reservoir. When aspiration is terminated, the fluid aspiration device is maintained intact and the intact device including the fluid is disposed.
