摘要: A driving support method and apparatus for displaying, on a medial side of a pillar of the vehicle, an image of an area which is hidden as a blind spot in a rear-view mirror mounted on or in a vehicle, when looking in the mirror from the driver's position and which is created by the pillar. The apparatus detects a head position of a driver, detects the angle of the rear-view mirror, calculates the area which is hidden as the blind spot on the basis of the detected driver's head position and the detected angle of the rear-view mirror, and projects an image of the area corresponding to the blind spot onto the pillar, the projected image being formed from image data which is obtained from a blind spot camera mounted on the vehicle.

摘要: A driving support unit captures an image of a driver's blind spot due to presence of a pillar of a vehicle includes at least first and second cameras which are mounted on the vehicle, a display device for displaying the image on the interior surface of the pillar and a control section for detecting position of the head of the driver, calculating a blind spot angle due to the presence of the pillar in accordance with the position of the head of the driver, and for selecting, based on the calculated angle, one of the cameras to capture the image. The first camera captures an image the major portion of which is an area to the side of the vehicle, and the second camera captures an image the major portion of which is an area to the front of the vehicle.

摘要: A heating apparatus such as microwave ovens includes a heating chamber having a door, heaters for heating food contained in the heating chamber, a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature in the heating chamber to provide an output in accordance with the sensed temperature, a gas sensor sensing a volume of gas in the heating chamber to provide an output in accordance with the sensed gas volume, and a microcomputer-based control device. The control device sets a reference value in accordance with the output of the temperature sensor, the reference value being for determining the kind of the food. The control device further calculates a change rate of the gas volume on the basis of the output of the gas sensor. The control device then compares the change rate of the gas volume with the reference value to determine the kind of the food contained in the heating chamber.

摘要: A heating apparatus such as microwave ovens includes a heater heating food contained in a cooking chamber and a temperature sensor sensing the temperature in the cooking chamber. An initial temperature is detected at an initial stage of the cooking on the basis of the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor. An intermediate temperature is further detected a predetermined time period after the start of the cooking. Based on the difference between the detected initial and intermediate temperatures, a suitable cooking period of time is determined.

摘要: An improved apparatus for heating and cooking foods includes an oven frame having an interior formed as an oven chamber, a turntable turnably supported on the bottom of the oven chamber, a plurality of rollers rotatably disposed between the turn dish and the outer peripheral region of a bottom plate, and a mechanism which projects downward from the bottom of the turntable which prevents the turntable from sliding on a table surface. The rollers are rotatably received in an annular groove located around the outer peripheral region of the turntable. The mechanism for preventing sliding of the turntable is that of an annular trough having a V-shaped sectional shape. The lowermost part of the annular trough is located lower than the rolling surface for the rollers. In a second embodiment the mechanism for preventing sliding of the turntable is a plurality of downward projections formed around a single circle in an equally spaced relationship.

摘要: A connecting structure for connecting conductors used for wiring in a semiconductor device comprises a first conductor provided on a part of the semiconductor device for passing the flow of electrons, an insulator provided on the first conductor and formed with a contact hole, and a second conductor provided on the insulator for passing the flow of electrons, in which the second conductor is provided so as to sandwich the insulator together with a part of the first conductor. The first and second conductors are contacted to each other across the insulator at the contact hole so that the electrons flow through the contact hole. The contact hole extends in a general direction of a flow of electrons passing therethrough and has a stepped shape in which a width measured perpendicularly to the general direction of the flow of electrons increases stepwise towards the general direction of the flow of electrons.
