摘要: A gasifier injection module includes a two-stage slurry splitter and an injector face plate with a coolant system incorporated therein. The two-stage slurry splitter includes a main cavity into which a main slurry flow is provided. The main cavity includes a plurality of first stage flow dividers that divide the main slurry flow into a plurality of secondary slurry flows that flow into a plurality of secondary cavities that extend from the main cavity. Each secondary cavity includes a plurality of second stage flow dividers that divide each secondary slurry flow into a plurality of tertiary slurry flows that flow into a plurality of slurry injection tubes extending from the secondary cavities. The tertiary flows are injected as high pressure slurry streams into the gasification chamber via the slurry injection tubes. A reactant is impinged at high pressure, as an annular shaped spray, on each high pressure slurry stream via a plurality of annular impinging orifices incorporated into the injector face plate. The coolant system incorporated within the injector face plate maintains the injector face plate at a temperature sufficient to substantially reduce or prevent damage to the injector face plate by high temperatures and/or abrasive matter created by the resulting gasification reaction.

摘要: A generally tube-shaped package that has a tear strip joined to a web of packaging film, the tear strip incorporating an encapsulated tear notch. The package is filled with cookie or bread dough. In accordance with one embodiment, the tear strip is part of a tape that is joined to a web of packaging film. Preferably, the tear strip has a tear bead. Optionally, tearing off of the tear strip provides access to a peel seal, which in turn must be sundered to gain access to the dough. In accordance with another embodiment, the tear strip comprises a portion of a web of packaging film, which portion is bounded by a pair of mutually parallel capped tear lines. A tear bead is disposed between the tear lines. Methods of manufacturing such packages are disclosed.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses to trim current limit (Ip) and frequency (f) to maintain a constant maximum power. In one aspect of the invention, a power supply regulator having a peak current limit detection threshold and an operating frequency is disclosed. The peak current limit threshold or the operating frequency are adjusted specifically to maintain the Ipm·fn product substantially constant from one power supply controller to another where m is substantially equal to 2 and n is substantially equal to 1. In another aspect of the invention, the power supply regulator has a control circuit having a control threshold current. The peak current limit threshold or the operating frequency are adjusted specifically to maintain the product of Ipm·fn divided by the control threshold current substantially constant from one power supply controller to another where m is substantially equal to 2 and n is substantially equal to 1.

摘要: Methods and arrangements are provided for use in multiple user computing environments. These methods and arrangements can be configured to allow for a plurality of separate and concurrent desktops and workspaces within the shared computing environment. One method includes creating a separate desktop thread for each user that is authenticated during a logon process, creating a separate desktop associated with each desktop thread, and maintaining a list of desktop threads that are created. In this manner, several users can be logged on simultaneously. In certain implementations, the method further includes establishing a separate user environment associated with each desktop and launching a separate user shell associated with each desktop. The list of desktop threads allows for selective and/or automatic switching from a first desktop to a second desktop without terminating a desktop thread associated with the first desktop. The methods and arrangements are also applicable to remote process logon and switching.

摘要: This invention is based on the discovery that the administration of a sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor antagonist (S1P) and at least one chemotherapeutic agent selected from the the group of antimicrotubule agents provides an unexpectedly superior treatment for cancer. Antimicrobial agents such as the taxane compounds are known in the art, for example, paclitaxel (available as TAXOL® from Bristol-Myers Squibb, Princeton, N.J.), docetaxel (available as TAXOTERE® from Sanofi-aventis, Bridgewater, N.J.) and the like and other compounds that act as antimicrotubule agents, such as Vincristine (ONCOVIN®, VINCASAR PFS®, VCR), Vinblastin (VELBAN®, VELSAR®) and Vinorelbine, and similar compounds. The present invention also provides methods of modulating the growth of selected cell populations, such as cancer cells, by administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one sphingosine-1-phosphate 1 (S1P1R) receptor antagonists, and at least one antimicrotubule agent.
