Abstract:
A capacitive measuring device has a scale and a transducer, both provided with an array of electrodes. The position of the transducer with respect to the scale is determined in a processing circuit by evaluating the capacitances formed between the two arrays. These capacitances vary periodically as a function of the relative position of the transducer. The scale electrodes are spaced by a pitch (.lambda.). In order to increase the resolution, the transducer electrodes occupy possible initial positions spaced by an elementary interval (P) which is a submultiple of the pitch (.lambda.). The transducer electrodes are thus divided into N groups according to the initial position which they occupy. In order to compensate for manufacturing imprecisions of periodic type, the succession of transducer electrodes is highly non-periodic. To this end, the set intervals (I.sub.j) occupied by the sets of successive electrodes interpenetrate, and the number of unoccupied possible initial position between the bundles of electrodes is variable. A set of electrodes is a set composed of one electrode of each group.
Abstract:
Measuring system having a plurality of probes for measuring lengths, each probe including a probe tip connected in removable fashion relative to a casing, a transducer supplying an electric signal that is representative of the position of said probe tip relative to the casing, a digital processing unit for sampling the signal from said transducer and transforming it into a digital representation of said position, and a bidirectional interface for a wireless communication network connecting said probes with a control unit. A method including a step during which the clocks of the digital processing units of the probes are synchronized through said bidirectional wireless interface and a step during which the control unit transmits commands determining the instant at which said electric signals are sampled.
Abstract:
Motorized indexed measuring head for a machine for measuring three-dimensional coordinates. Comprises one, two or more re-orientable elements to orient a probe feeler according to a plurality of indexed orientations. The orientable elements are guided in their rotation and sliding movements by undercut bushings and undercut shafts. The arrangement of the undercuts allows an accurate guiding in the rotation movement without impairing the indexing accuracy.
Abstract:
Method enabling a command to switch the measure mode to be entered in a single vertical axis dimension-measuring column. The mode witch command is entered by pressing the probe tip against the piece to be measured during a time interval greater than a predetermined value. The measuring and displaying system then engages in a search mode of the turn-back point of said piece to be measured.Application: measurement of inner or outer diameters by means of a single-axis measuring column. The method allows the hole's minimal and maximal points to be determined with a minimum of handling operations.
Abstract:
Touch-triggered probe comprising a fixed part, designed to be fastened onto a measuring machine or a machine tool, and a mobile contact feeler that can be oriented on two independent axes along a multiplicity of spatial directions. The two axes of the probe comprise each an actuator for unlocking and adjusting the axes.
Abstract:
Trigger probe, constructed on the principle of the Boys connection, serving to detect the contact between the probe's stylus and a piece to be measured, comprising an electric circuit with at least one switch, whose contact elements are positioned by means of several connecting elements of the circuit.
Abstract:
Electronic measuring instrument equipped with a removable intelligent processing and radio communication interface. The interface allows managing additional features such as bidirectional communication of commands and measurement data with printers, computers or other external devices, as well as the transmission of instructions or measurement programs to the instrument. The radio interface may be connected with several measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometers, comparators or height gauges. It is integrated into the lid of the battery compartment of the instrument, so that it can be installed and removed easily and without impairing the seal. The cover also includes an extra battery for the processing and radio transmission interface.
Abstract:
Tool rack for tools of a coordinate measuring machine, wherein the guiding and retaining surfaces of the tool rack are arranged on two planes offset vertically so as to cause the tool to tilt when it is unhooked. The inventive arrangement allows the mechanical efforts during uncoupling to be reduced appreciably. This reduction is due to the tool tilting and to the residual magnetic force being divided between three retaining point, with a positive effect on the coupling precision and on the tool positioning in the tool rack.
