Abstract:
Stable, recrystallization-resistant dermatological/cosmetic compositions, well suited for preventing/treating oxidative stress of the skin, comprise a substantially ethanol-free aqueous phase, the aqueous phase containing an active amount of solubilized melatonin values and an amount of at least one glycol effective to dissolve such melatonin values.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stable oil-in-water emulsions comprising an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase with an emulsifying system. More precisely, the emulsifying system contains a first ester chosen from the fatty acid esters of glucose and the fatty acid esters of alkylglucose and at least one second fatty acid ester of sucrose. The emulsion according to the invention may be used in the cosmetic field and in the field of dermatology in order to obtain a skin cream.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a substantially dry cosmetic article for dyeing keratin materials, comprising a porous flexible substrate, and at least one direct dyes and/or direct dye precursor in powder form, which are capable of dyeing the keratin material via heat transfer, the substrate and the direct dyes or direct dye precursors being non-covalently bonded to the substrate. Disclosed herein is also a method for dyeing keratin materials, for example, human keratin materials, via dry heat transfer, using the dry heat-transfer cosmetic article.
Abstract:
An applicator including at least one tube with at least one plug of a liquid or a powder inside the tube. At least a first substance is contained in an inside space of the tube, with the space defined at a first end by the liquid or powder plug. The plug is arranged, in use, to be expelled together with the first substance when it leaves the inside space of the tube. The applicator further includes at least one second substance different from the first substance and dissociated therefrom prior to use. Kit or packaging arrangements are also provided for containing one or more of the applicators.
Abstract:
A device may include a medium configured to be impregnated with a liquid and configured to be applied to a human body. The medium may include a superabsorbent material that forms a gel on absorbing the liquid. The device may also include a receptacle including a housing in which the medium is received prior to use. A volume of the housing may be sufficient to receive both the medium and a quantity of a liquid that is sufficient for gelling the medium.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cosmetic or dermatological compositions capable of being applied to the skin, the keratinous fibers, the nails, the semimucous membranes and/or the mucous membranes, and which includes a dendritic polyester polymer having terminal hydroxyl functional groups or the combination of such a polymer with a film-forming polymer. It also relates to methods of cosmetic or dermatological treatment using these compositions as well as the use of the compositions for the preparation of dermatological or cosmetic compositions.
Abstract:
A stable gelled composition, containing at least one lipophilic active agent sensitive to oxygen or to water or to both, and a solvent which contains, as gelling agent, at least one polysaccharide alkyl ether formed of units containing at least two different glycoside rings, each unit containing at least one hydroxyl group substituted with a saturated hydrocarbon alkyl group.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stable fluid water-in-oil emulsion, in particular a topical emulsion, comprising, as gelling agent, a polysaccharide alkyl ether formed from units containing at least two different monosaccharide rings, each unit containing at least one hydroxyl group substituted by a saturated hydrocarbon alkyl chain. The polysaccharide alkyl ether preferably has a weight average molecular weight greater than 200,000 and preferably is a guar gum alkyl ether having a degree of substitution of approximately 2 to 3. The emulsion obtained is stable, even in the absence of an electrolyte or a fatty substance commonly used to stabilize water-in-oil emulsions. It can in particular contain an active ingredient sensitive to electrolytes. The emulsion according to the invention can be used in particular in the cosmetics and/or dermatological fields.
Abstract:
Foaming composition for cleaning the skin, which has the appearance of a transparent gel, including:(i) a fatty phase,(ii) at least one C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 carbohydrate fatty ester,(iii) at least one polyol,(iv) at least one foaming surfactant.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition which makes it possible, in particular, to combat photo-induced ageing of the skin and/or to combat skin blemishes, this composition containing, in a cosmetically and/or dermatologically acceptable medium, at least one saccharide ester of ascorbic acid and at least one saccharide ester of rutin, the phase of this medium having a pH of from 4 to 6.
