摘要: The present invention relates to an artificial disc prosthesis system which includes a scaffold assembly and a fusion or disc prosthesis removably retained by the scaffold assembly. The artificial disc prosthesis system facilitates the removal, replacement or upgrade of disc prostheses without the need to remove the entire system from the intervertebral space in which it is disposed. Also provided are disc prostheses suitable for use in the artificial disc prosthesis system.

摘要: Methods and systems for three-dimensional texture reprojection are provided herein. The method includes calculating an initial distance vector from a vertex within a 3D mesh of an object to each of a plurality of texture images. For each texture image, the method also includes determining coordinates of an intersection point of the initial distance vector with the texture image, determining a number of neighboring points within a specified distance from the intersection point, and calculating an overall distance vector from the neighboring points to any of the points within the 3D mesh. Furthermore, the method includes determining a number of texture images with a lowest difference between the initial distance vector and the overall distance vector.

摘要: Video of a scene is generated and presented to a user. A stream of mesh models of the scene and a corresponding stream of mesh texture maps are generated from one or more streams of sensor data that represent the scene. Each of the mesh models includes a collection of faces, and each of the mesh texture maps defines texture data for one or more points on the faces. Each of the mesh models is broken down into convex sections. Each of the convex sections is surrounded with a three-dimensional hull. The texture data that is associated with each of the faces in the convex section is projected onto the three-dimensional hull, and a hull texture map for the convex section is produced.

摘要: Methods and systems for generating free viewpoint video using an active infrared (IR) stereo module are provided. The method includes computing a depth map for a scene using an active IR stereo module. The depth map may be computed by projecting an IR dot pattern onto the scene, capturing stereo images from each of two or more synchronized IR cameras, detecting dots within the stereo images, computing feature descriptors corresponding to the dots in the stereo images, computing a disparity map between the stereo images, and generating the depth map using the disparity map. The method also includes generating a point cloud for the scene using the depth map, generating a mesh of the point cloud, and generating a projective texture map for the scene from the mesh of the point cloud. The method further includes generating the video for the scene using the projective texture map.

摘要: An architrave support for supporting one or more sections comprises a plurality of planar portions and preferably a base support which together form a preferably self supporting arch-like shaped architrave support. Each planar portion has a pair of opposite oblique ends abutting another said planar portion or the base support. The plurality of planar portions are in series, preferably mitred, at their oblique ends to form the arch-like shaped architrave support. The support may be preformed or in a kit, either together with or separately to corresponding architrave portions for attachment thereto to form an architrave. The support is useful for forming architrave arches above doorways or windows.

摘要: According to one embodiment of the invention, a spinal fixation system includes a bone screw having a longitudinal access and a fixation rod configured to connect the bone screw to at least one additional bone screw. The fixation rod is lateral to the longitudinal axis. A coupling mechanism includes a bone screw securing device configured to secure the coupling mechanism to the bone screw and a fixation rod securing device configured to secure the coupling mechanism to the fixation rod. The spinal fixation system further includes a fastening mechanism. Rotation of the fastening mechanism secures the bone screw securing device to the bone screw and the fixation rod securing device to the fixation rod.
