Abstract: A method for affixing a fundus portion of the stomach of a human patient to the patient's esophagus is disclosed. The method comprises folding the fundus portion towards the esophagus such that the fundus portion rests against the esophagus, from the angle of His and upwards along the esophagus, and affixing the fundus portion to the esophagus by means of fasteners arranged along a first line and a second line. The first line and the second line extend along the esophagus and are arranged such that a distance between the first line and the second line increases with an increasing distance from the angle of His. The method can be used for invaginating a movement restriction device by the fundus, a position between the diaphragm and the cardiac sphincter to hinder the cardia from sliding through the diaphragm opening into the patient's thorax.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a hearing protector (10) with a sensor module (30) having a module sensor (32). The sensor module (30) is removably attached to the cushion (22, 24) and the cup (12A, 14A) of the earmuff (12, 14) of the hearing protector (10). The hearing protector (10) according to present disclosure allows the arrangement of sensors at a hearing protector (10) in an easy and cost-efficient way even with multiple sensors. The advantage of such a hearing protector (10) is an easy, compact and reliable solution of a hearing protector (10) providing information about the environment and about the conditions of the user (100) or worker using such a hearing protector (10). Also, a method of retrofitting such a sensor module (30) to a hearing protector (1) is provided. Such a method is advantageous because reversible retrofitting of existing hearing protectors (1) not having the required functionality of sensors is provided.

Abstract: Indwelling body lumen expanders which allow for the maintenance and patency of a body lumen, such as the prostatic urethra to relieve urethral obstruction, are described. Abstract: Excessive dilation of the annulus of a mitral valve may lead to regurgitation of blood during ventricular contraction. This regurgitation may lead to a reduction in cardiac output. Disclosed are systems and methods relating to an implant configured for reshaping a mitral valve. The implant comprises a plurality of struts with anchors for tissue engagement. The implant is compressible to a first, reduced diameter for transluminal navigation and delivery to the left atrium of a heart. The implant may then expand to a second, enlarged diameter to embed its anchors to the tissue surrounding and/or including the mitral valve. The implant may then contract to a third, intermediate diameter, pulling the tissue radially inwardly, thereby reducing the mitral valve and lessening any of the associated symptoms including mitral regurgitation.
