摘要: A virtual coatings application system has several features to enhance the realism of simulated spray painting. The system generally includes a display screen on which is defined a virtual surface (such as a truck door) that is intended to be virtually painted or coated by the user. The user operates an instrumented spray gun controller that outputs one or more signals representing data as to the status of the controls on the spray gun controller. The system also has a motion tracking system that tracks the position and orientation of the spray gun controller with respect to the virtual surface defined on the display screen. Simulation software generates virtual spray pattern data in response to at least the data from the spray gun controller and the position and orientation data received from the tracking system. Virtual spray pattern images are displayed in real time on the display screen in accordance with the accumulation of virtual spray pattern data at each location on the virtual surface.

摘要: An equipment rack including front and back doors is configured with fans for air cooling enclosed electronic devices in both doors. The fans in each door are sufficient, by themselves, to provide sufficient airflow to cool the electronic devices. The two doors include switches and magnetic interlocks configured such that when one door is opened, the magnetic interlock on the other door is activated preventing both door from being opened at the same time. This ensures that at least one door is always closed while the system is powered up, and since the fans in each door provide sufficient cooling for the equipment rack, the rack is always sufficiently cooled to prevent electronic device failure from overheating.

摘要: A PBI compound includes imidazole nitrogens at least a portion of which are substituted with a moiety containing a carbonyl group, the substituted imidazole nitrogens being bonded to carbon of the carbonyl group. At least 85% of the nitrogens may be substituted. The carbonyl-containing moiety may include RCO—, where R is alkoxy or haloalkyl. The PBI compound may exhibit a first temperature marking an onset of weight loss corresponding to reversion of the substituted PBI that is less than a second temperature marking an onset of decomposition of an otherwise identical PBI compound without the substituted moiety. The PBI compound may be included in separatory media. A substituted PBI synthesis method may include providing a parent PBI in a less than 5 wt % solvent solution. Substituting may use more than 5 equivalents in relation to the imidazole nitrogens to be substituted.

A bracket assembly having a bulkhead retaining element, a protective device element, and a retaining element operable to couple the protective device to the bracket allows for mounting of protective device(s) to the bracket instead of the bulkhead, thereby saving space. A power cabling assembly having a bracket assembly, a power connector, and a fastening element operable to couple the power connector to the bulkhead and the bulkhead to the bracket assembly, allowing assembly of the power cabling assembly prior to installation into target equipment.

摘要: A computer system includes a video input device that generates video data representing a field of view in front of the video input device. The computer system further includes a buffer and a video processing module. The buffer is configured to record a video clip of the field of view in front of the video input device. The video processing module is connected to the buffer and the video input device. The video processing module includes a video capture device to encode the video data, and a signal processing module. The signal processing module processes the encoded video data in order to calculate an average value of the video data indicative of motion within the field of view in front of the video input device. The signal processing module generates an alarm if the average value is above a predetermined threshold value.

摘要: An adapter for sterilizing a needleless connector that has interior and exterior surfaces. The adapter includes a proximal portion that is coupleable in electromagnetic radiation receiving communication with an electromagnetic radiation source and a cavity portion that is coupleable with the needleless connector and that is shaped to receive at least a portion of the needleless connector. The proximal portion and the cavity portion are made from a translucent material so that electromagnetic radiation from the electromagnetic radiation source can, upon operation, propagate through and be refracted by the translucent material to sterilize both the interior and the exterior surfaces of the needleless connector.

摘要: Virtually-integrated wire harness design and automated production systems and methods that achieve completely integrated data management by automatically producing scripts to dynamically propagate production commands and data to various subsystems for handling assembling necessary circuits and wire harness layout boards to produce corresponding batches of wire harnesses while script-based methods control configuring, testing, and using wire harness layout boards, and assembling, testing, reworking, and delivering wire harnesses. As derived from CAD-created specifications, the production system uses a programmable, automated wire C&C center prepares individual wire circuits. While automatic wire indexing, sorting, and delivery systems transfer circuits into, and retrieve circuits from, a transportable programmable, automated, indexed storage system equipped with an array of individual circuit tubes, and a script-controlled assembly system sends visual, aural, and other cues to help an assembler populate and configure a wire harness layout board with connector blocks and turn posts, and guides the assembler in building, testing, reworking, and delivering the corresponding batch of wire harnesses.
