Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for implementing extended signaling in wireless communications. Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives an MBMS service from a first cell in a first MBSFN area while in an RRC idle mode. The apparatus reselects to a second cell through an intra-frequency cell reselection upon moving into coverage of the second cell. The second cell is a non-MBSFN cell or an MBSFN cell in a second MBSFN area different than the first MBSFN area. The apparatus continues to receive the MBMS service directly from the first cell while receiving paging signals from the second cell.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a receiver device may receive a first packet of a plurality of packets included in a reordering window of the receiver device. The receiver device may receive a second packet of the plurality of packets. The receiver device may provide the first packet and the second packet based at least in part on expiration of a reordering timer. The receiver device may receive a third packet of the plurality of packets at a third time, wherein the first packet, the second packet, and the third packet are received sequentially. The receiver device may provide a set of packets including the first packet, the third packet, and the second packet in order, to a higher layer in accordance with a timer that is shorter than a length of the reordering window. A request to establish a call using a first connection may be received, the first connection using a first radio access technology to communicate with a radio access network. During execution of a procedure to establish the call, a command to handover communications from the first connection to a second connection that uses a second radio access technology to communicate with the radio access network may be received. The second connection may be established in response to the command, and a message indicating that the request to establish the call was successfully received may be transmitted over the second connection. A method that may be performed by a receiving node includes dynamically determining one or more time durations to buffer packets. The one or more time durations can be different than a time duration of a configured timer for buffering the packets. The receiving node may input one or more parameters to a machine learning algorithm and obtain, as output of the machine learning algorithm based on the input one or more parameters, one or more time durations to buffer packets. The receiving node buffers packets for the determined one or more time durations. The receiving node may use machine learning to dynamically determine the one or more time durations to buffer packet. The buffering may be at a radio link control (RLC) reassembling buffer and/or a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) buffer.

Abstract: A UE employing carrier aggregation receives an uplink grant from a wireless communication system base station for each of a plurality of Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) component carriers. The UE orders each PUSCH component carrier for transmission based at least in part on the uplink grant. The UE ranks logical channels for uplink transmission; and then builds transport blocks comprising data of higher ranked logical channels on higher ordered component carriers. The UE can then transmit the transport blocks across the component carriers to the base station.

A set of packets for transmission in a defined sequence can be received where the set of packets includes two or more packets. It can be detected that a packet, of the set of packets, is a prioritized packet type. The packet can be prioritized for transmission ahead of its order in the defined sequence based on the detection of the prioritized packet type. Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for implementing a radio link control (RLC) layer and/or packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer window advance with holes (e.g., one or more missing packets) are provided. One technique includes generating a sequence of packets for transmission to an apparatus. A determination of whether to request the apparatus to at least temporarily ignore missing packets from the sequence is made based on one or more criteria. A message with an indication of the determination is transmitted to the apparatus. The apparatus may receive the sequence of packets, detect missing packets in the sequence, and process the sequence of packets in accordance with the indication in the received message.
