An exemplary method generally includes receiving a first overhead message of a first type comprising first configuration information for the UE, determining a first priority level of the configuration information in the first overhead message, taking one or more first actions based on the first priority level, attempting to receive a second overhead message of a second type comprising second configuration information for the UE, if the second overhead message is received, determining a second priority level of the second configuration information in the second overhead message, taking one or more second actions based on the second priority level.

The UE may send at least one of a requested voice domain preference or a requested RAT preference to a 5G core network (5GC). The UE may also receive, from the 5GC, at least one of a voice domain preference or a RAT preference based on, for example, the capability and compatibility of the UE. The 5GC may additionally generate a RAT/frequency selection priority (RFSP) index for the UE, giving priority to the voice domain preference and/or the RAT preference of the UE. The 5GC may communicate the RFSP index to the RAN. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

摘要: The present aspects relate to out-of-service searches in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present aspects provide that while in an out-of-service state corresponding to a radio resource disconnection, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a first time duration following entry into the out-of-service state has elapsed. The UE may further obtain a geofence identifier representing a shape forming a geographic region including one or more boundaries based on determining that the first time duration has elapsed. The UE may further identify at least one location identifier based at least on the geofence identifier and determine at least one radio access technology (RAT) and one or more associated frequency bands based on the at least one location identifier. The UE may further search on the at least one RAT and one or more associated frequency bands for at least one network entity within the geographic region.

Particularly, each logical channel may be configured with a pair of total PBR and BSD by the network entity. For a logical channel mapped to multiple numerologies, network entity may configure a pair of prioritized bit rate (PBR) and bucket size duration (BSR) for each of its numerologies, with the constraint that the sum of the PBRs and BSDs allocated for the individual numerologies may equal its total PBR and BSR.

Moreover, the present methods and apparatuses may perform at least one second procedure based on determining that the CGI of the cell corresponds to the stored CGI of the previous cell, the second procedure including a communication configuration procedure based at least on the one or more parameters.

The transport block further includes a media access control (MAC) control element having a separate corresponding media access control sub-header. The MAC control element and corresponding media access control sub-header are defined at one of a beginning and an end of the transport block. The method further includes transmitting the transport block to a device.

摘要: The present disclosure enables an eNB to identify and/or profile stationary verses mobile UEs located within its cell. In addition, the eNB may tailor a discovery filter that includes all of the PACs (e.g., advertisements) being transmitted by stationary UEs within a vicinity of the cell. The discovery filter may be shared with a network server such that a mobile UE that requests information associated with a particular PAC will receive a list of all PACs within the vicinity of the mobile UE. The apparatus monitors transmissions from a plurality of UEs over a period of time. The apparatus determines at least one stationary UE in the plurality of UEs based on one or more features associated with the transmissions.

The method includes detecting a first radio access technology (RAT) activity in response to a received first RAT suspend request for a second RAT tune-away. The method also includes adaptively performing the first RAT suspend request according to a predetermined priority of the detected first RAT activity and a second RAT tune-away activity. A receive chain is shared between a first RAT modem and a second RAT modem of the UE.
