    摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to systems and methods for configuring a voice domain preference and/or a radio access technology (RAT) preference for a user equipment (UE) in a radio access network (RAN) according to the capability and compatibility of the UE. The UE may send at least one of a requested voice domain preference or a requested RAT preference to a 5G core network (5GC). The UE may also receive, from the 5GC, at least one of a voice domain preference or a RAT preference based on, for example, the capability and compatibility of the UE. The 5GC may additionally generate a RAT/frequency selection priority (RFSP) index for the UE, giving priority to the voice domain preference and/or the RAT preference of the UE. The 5GC may communicate the RFSP index to the RAN. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    摘要: The present aspects relate to out-of-service searches in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present aspects provide that while in an out-of-service state corresponding to a radio resource disconnection, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a first time duration following entry into the out-of-service state has elapsed. The UE may further obtain a geofence identifier representing a shape forming a geographic region including one or more boundaries based on determining that the first time duration has elapsed. The UE may further identify at least one location identifier based at least on the geofence identifier and determine at least one radio access technology (RAT) and one or more associated frequency bands based on the at least one location identifier. The UE may further search on the at least one RAT and one or more associated frequency bands for at least one network entity within the geographic region.

Certain aspects provide a method for forming and transmitting transport blocks. The method includes generating a transport block including a plurality of service data units and a corresponding plurality of media access control sub-headers. Each media access control sub-header is defined adjacent to the corresponding service data unit in the transport block. The transport block further includes a media access control (MAC) control element having a separate corresponding media access control sub-header. The MAC control element and corresponding media access control sub-header are defined at one of a beginning and an end of the transport block. The method further includes transmitting the transport block to a device.
