    摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to rate-matching a stream of bits encoded using polar codes. An exemplary method generally includes determining a mother code size (N) for transmitting an encoded stream of bits based, at least in part, on a minimum supported code rate for transmitting the encoded stream of bits (Rmin), a control information size of the encoded stream of bits (K), a number of coded bits for transmission (E), and a maximum mother code size (Nmax), encoding a stream of bits using a polar code of size (N, K) and storing the encoded stream of bits in a circular buffer, and performing rate-matching on the stored encoded stream of bits based, at least in part, on a comparison among the mother code size (N), the control information size of the encoded stream of bits (K), and the number of coded bits for transmission (E).

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for polar coding with rate matching. A transmitter may construct input channels into a polar encoder to provide an information bit vector that does not include punctured or shortened bits. One or more transmission capacity factors may be used in identifying the information bit vector, which may be mapped to one or more of a codeword length of the polar code or a number of transmitted bits in each codeword. A number of different rate matching schemes may be available for transmissions, and may be selected based on one or more polar coding parameters. In some cases, mapping techniques may be used in two or more different rate matching schemes.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide improved repetition techniques for autonomous uplink transmissions. Configuration information may be provided from a base station to a user equipment (UE) for autonomous uplink transmissions, that may indicate initial resources for an initial uplink transmission slot and retransmission resources for a number of retransmissions. Time resources within the retransmission resources may be configured to provide enhanced reliability, such as by being configured in non-contiguous slots to avoid one or more other transmission channels. Time resources within slots may also be configured to prevent persistent collisions with autonomous uplink transmissions or retransmissions of two or more different UEs.

In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a downlink control information signal, wherein the downlink control information indicates an uplink grant for multiple contiguous nominal uplink repetitions, identifies resources allocated for the multiple contiguous nominal uplink repetitions based on the uplink grant, wherein the identified resources include first resources for a first actual repetition of uplink data and second resources for a second actual repetition of uplink data, transmits the first actual repetition of uplink data using the first resources, and transmits the second actual repetition of the uplink data using the second resources.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. To encode a vector of bits using a polar code, an encoder may allocate information bits of the vector to polarized bit-channels associated with a channel (e.g., a set of unpolarized bit-channels) used for a transmission. In some cases, the polarized bit-channels may be partitioned into groups associated with different values of some associated reliability metric (s). The information bits may be allocated to the polarized bit-channels based on the reliability metrics of the different polarized bit-channels and the overall capacity of a transmission. That is, the bit locations of a transmission may depend on the reliability metrics of different polarized bit-channels and the overall capacity of the transmission. To facilitate puncturing, the overall capacity of the transmission may be adjusted and the unpolarized bit-channels may be partitioned into polarized bit-channels based on the adjusted capacity.
