    摘要： A high dielectric strength seal between the encapsulant and the outwardly projecting actuating arm of an externally operable encapsulated vacuum switch includes a fluid-receiving sealed cavity surrounding the actuating arm between the latter and the encapsulant. An externally accessible valve permits charging of the cavity with a dielectric fluid subsequent to encapsulation of the switch to insure displacement of air from the interface between the encapsulant and actuating arm, thereby greatly reducing the likelihood of corona formation and dielectric breakdown of the seal. Additionally, the dielectric fluid may be pressurized through the valve to preclude infusion of conductive contaminants into the cavity. In preferred forms, an accumulator is in fluid communication with the cavity to permit thermal expansion and contraction of the dielectric fluid without undesired leakage or cavitation of the liquid.

    摘要： A device for controlling odor from a toilet bowl has a housing primarily formed by a top member, a bottom member and a canister holding section for attaching to the bottom member. The canister holding section holds a canister having a nozzle for providing an odor treating spray from the canister. The housing also has two plates depending downwardly from the bottom member and which form an inverted U-shape for mounting the device on a rim of the toilet bowl. Between the top member and bottom member is a biasing device such as springs for biasing a seat of the toilet bowl in an upward direction when the seat is empty, and for allowing the seat to move in a downward direction in response to someone sitting on the seat. The downward motion of the seat moves the top member down, thereby actuating a nozzle on the canister, spraying a metered amount of spray into the toilet bowl. A method of deodorizing the bowl in response to sitting includes mounting a device on the rim, biasing the seat into a first position which is not fully down, responding to someone sitting on the seat by moving a top member down in response to the seat moving down, and causing a metered amount of spray from the nozzle of the canister to be sprayed into the bowl.

    摘要： A plug assembly is provided with integral optical indication. The plug assembly includes a housing having a leading portion and a trailing portion. The leading portion is configured for information exchanging engagement with an internally illuminated receptacle sized and shaped to releasably receive said leading portion therein. The receptacle is configured to radiate light onto the leading portion of the plug. This leading portion includes a light collector configured to receive the light, which is then conveyed via an optical coupling to an optical indicator located on the trailing portion of the plug assembly. The indicator has optical properties distinct from those of said trailing portion to facilitate viewing.
