    摘要: A connector for connecting wiring of a towed vehicle lighting system to wiring of a towing vehicle lighting system so that lights on the towed vehicle are activated when corresponding lights on the towing vehicle are activated. The connector includes a plurality of terminals for connecting to the wiring of the towed vehicle and configured for coupling with terminals on a mating connector on the towing vehicle; a ground terminal for connecting to a ground wire on the towed vehicle and configured for coupling with a ground terminal on the mating connector on the towing vehicle; ground fault detection circuitry for detecting when the connector is not properly grounded to the towed vehicle; and an indicator coupled with the ground fault detection circuitry for indicating when the connector is not properly grounded to the towed vehicle.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembly for suppressing a back electromotive force (“EMF”) spike originating from an electromagnetic device is provided. The electrical connector assembly includes a pin-side electrical connector coupled to the electromagnetic device. In one example, the pin-side electrical connector has a diode opening surrounded by an insulating material. The electrical connector assembly further includes a socket-side electrical connector for mechanically mating with and electrically coupling to the pin-side electrical connector. The socket-side electrical connector includes a suppression diode for suppressing the back EMF spike from the electromagnetic device. The suppression diode is positioned within the diode opening when the socket-side electrical connector is mechanically mated with and electrically coupled to the pin-side electrical connector.

    摘要: One embodiment relates to a connector that includes a diode. The diode has an anode and a cathode. The connector further includes a first electrical connection which connects to the anode, a second electrical connection which also connects to the anode, and a third electrical connection which connects to the cathode. Another embodiment relates to a photovoltaic laminate which includes a string of photovoltaic cells and three electrical conductors extending out of two discrete penetrations of the laminate. A first electrical conductor is connected to a first end of the string, a second electrical conductor is connected to a second end of the string, and a third electrical conductor is also connected to the second end of the string. The first and third electrical conductors extend out of the first discrete penetration, while the second electrical conductor extends out of the second discrete penetration. Other features and embodiments are also disclosed.
