An image forming apparatus that supports WiFi Direct, includes a user interface unit to receive a command from a user, a WiFi-Direct connection unit to perform WiFi-Direct connection with an external wireless terminal, an Internet connection unit to perform connection to the Internet, a control unit to permit or prohibit Internet access of the WiFi-Direct connected wireless terminal made through the Internet connection unit, a soft access point (AP) module to allow the image forming apparatus to operate as an AP in WiFi-Direction connection with the wireless terminal, a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server module to allocate a network address to the wireless terminal if the image forming apparatus operates as an AP, and an image forming operation execution unit to perform an image forming operation under control of the control unit.

A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus includes a processor, and a memory storing a program including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to acquire first data of a subsampled magnetic resonance (MR) image, acquire, based on a learning model using a neural network, first reconstructed data with respect to rows of pixels in a first phase encoding direction of the first data of the subsampled MR image, and obtain a reconstructed image corresponding to the subsampled MR image, using the first reconstructed data.

A method for generating an image by using a medical imaging apparatus includes acquiring first slab data which relates to a first imaging slab, acquiring second slab data which relates to a second imaging slab at a position which is different from a position of the first imaging slab, and generating a restored image by using data from among the acquired first slab data and data from among the acquired second slab data in slices which correspond to a same position on an object.

A method of registering use of a mobile terminal that supports a near field communication (NFC) function, to an image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus using the method, a method of requesting registration of the use of the mobile terminal supporting the NFC function, and the mobile terminal using the method, which enable registration of use of the mobile terminal to the image forming apparatus without a manager when the mobile terminal performs initial NFC with the image forming apparatus by NFC tagging.

An interface card is capable of communicating with an external device and includes a power supplier; a non-volatile memory which stores executable instructions to operate in an active-mode and a sleep-mode; a small-capacity volatile memory which is supplied with power in the sleep mode; a transmitter-receiver which transmits and receives packet data to/from the external device; and a controller which retrieves sleep-mode instructions stored in the non-volatile memory and loads the sleep mode instructions in the small-capacity volatile memory to transition the interface card into the sleep mode if the transmitter-receiver does not receive the packet data for predetermined time period in an active mode. The interface card processes certain packet data in the sleep mode and transitions back into the active mode when sleep mode operations determine that the packet data cannot be processed in the sleep mode. The non-volatile memory, and other components of an external circuit, is powered down when the interface card is in the sleep mode.
