Communication between a cellular network (102) and a communication device (101) occurs in a first frequency band (111) and a second frequency band (112), the second frequency band (112) being at least partly different from the first frequency band (111). A data packet is sent in the first frequency band (111). Depending on an acknowledgment of receipt of the data packet, the data packet is selectively sent in the second frequency band (112).

A method of operating a terminal device and network infrastructure equipment in a wireless telecommunications system for communicating on a primary cell supporting a primary component carrier on radio resources within a first frequency band and a secondary cell supporting a secondary component carrier on radio resources within a second frequency band. The infrastructure equipment establishes a plural configuration settings for the secondary carrier based on measurements of radio usage in the second frequency band, which are conveyed to the terminal device. The terminal device makes channel quality measurements for the secondary component carrier according to the different configuration settings and reports these to the infrastructure equipment. Based on the measurements of channel quality for the different configurations, the infrastructure equipment selects one of the configuration settings, and conveys an indication of this to the terminal device in association with an allocation of transmission resources on the secondary component carrier.

A method in a location service client node includes maintaining a database containing a listing of beacon radio node identifiers with their geographic locations. A received location request contains an identifier for a UE and an identifier for a beacon radio node. A geographic location of the UE is determined from the database using the geographic location of the identifier for the beacon radio nodes. A message is sent to a public safety system containing the identifier for the UE and the geographic location. Subsequent to sending the message to the public safety system, a received movement notification message contains the identifier for the beacon radio node and data indicating that the beacon radio node has been moved. Data in the database is set to prevent the geographic location of the beacon radio node from being subsequently used to determine the geographic location of a UE.

A method of operating a terminal device and a base station in a wireless telecommunications system to communicate with one another using a primary component carrier operating on radio resources within a first frequency band and a secondary component carrier operating on radio resources within a second frequency band. The terminal device makes measurements of radio usage in the second frequency band, and transmits an indication of the measurements to the base station. The base station then establishes a configuration setting for the secondary component carrier. The configuration setting is associated with a validity period during which the base station communicates data to the terminal device using the primary component carrier and the secondary component carrier operating in accordance with its configuration setting.

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method implemented by a computing device is disclosed. Images from a sequence of images that depicts a scene are displayed on an electronic display. User input is received that selects an image from the sequence to be used as a base image. User input is also received that selects an object from the sequence of images. A movement trajectory of the selected object is determined from the sequence of images. The selected object is repositioned based on user input that drags the selected object along the determined movement trajectory from an initial position to a new position. A new image is created by combining the base image and the repositioned object.
