Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method for supporting handover and a corresponding base station and network node for performing the method is provided. The method includes forwarding data to a target base station, receiving a first end marker packet from a core network, and transmitting, for a quality of service, quality of service (QoS), flow for which the data forwarding has been completed, a second end marker packet to the target base station, the end marker packet containing a QoS flow identity (QFI). The methods of embodiments of the disclosure may reduce the packet transmission delay and improve the user experience.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for operating and controlling a data flow. The method includes steps of: acquiring, by a first node, information on a Quality-of-Service (QoS) flow and/or resource information on a node; and deciding, by the first node, whether to accept the QoS flow and/or performance result information for the QoS flow, according to the acquired resource information on the node and/or the acquired information on the QoS flow.

The present application provides a method for light connection control for a User Equipment (UE), comprising the following steps of: acquiring, by a first radio access network node, light connection information for a UE; storing, by the first radio access network node, the acquired light connection Information; and, performing, by the first radio access network node, light connection control of the UE based on the acquired light connection information for the UE. By adopting the technical scheme disclosed in the present application, the signaling overhead can be saved, and the delay of the UE access network can be reduced.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for obtaining a UE counting result. The method includes: establishing, by the UE, a RRC connection; sending a UE counting response via the RRC connection; or, sending, by the UE, a RRC establishing message, and configuring a reason of establishing the RRC as MBMS UE counting. The present disclosure also provides a method for obtaining a UE counting result, a method and apparatus for suspending data transmission. By using the present disclosure, when the UE needs to receive the GCSE service, the MCE may obtain a correct counting result and not make wrong decision no matter whether the UE is in the RRC connected mode or in the idle mode. Therefore, the UE does not need to establish the point-to-point channel, and interruption of the data transmission and unnecessary power consumption are avoided.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure provides a method of de-activating a local internet protocol access (LIPA) bearer supporting local breakout in a dual-connectivity architecture. When a master eNodeB (MeNB) determines to change a secondary eNodeB (SeNB) serving a user equipment (UE) or hand the UE over from the MeNB to an eNB, the MeNB may trigger a LIPA bearer de-activation process, and then trigger the process of change the SeNB serving the UE or hand the UE over from the MeNB to the eNB. Various examples also provide another method and an apparatus for de-activating a LIPA bearer, for bearer switch, for establishing a LIPA bearer. The methods and apparatus can establish, switch and correctly release local breakout bearer in a dual-connectivity architecture, so as to reduce the load of a core network of an operator.

Abstract: A method for data forwarding in a small cell system comprises: sending by a master base station (MeNB) to a target secondary base station (SeNB) information of a source SeNB or a source SeNB cell where a user equipment (UE) is located; determining by the target SeNB whether a direct data forwarding is feasible; notifying, by the target SeNB, the MeNB whether the direct data forwarding is feasible; and determining by the MeNB whether it is a direct data forwarding or an indirect data forwarding. The method for data forwarding provided in the present application may support both the direct data forwarding and the indirect data forwarding based on actual situation of the network, reduce data loss and failure of data forwarding, and improve the efficiency of data forwarding.
