Abstract:
Provided are a memory controller, a method of operating the memory controller, and a storage device including the memory controller. The method includes performing a first operation on a non-volatile memory; storing a first code path corresponding to pieces of codes executed as the first operation is performed in a history buffer; comparing the first code path with a plurality of reference code paths related to the first operation; and identifying whether the first operation is abnormally performed based on a result of the comparison.
Abstract:
A storage device includes; a nonvolatile storage including a first region and a second region, a storage controller controlling operation of the nonvolatile storage, and a buffer memory connected to the storage controller. The storage controller stores user data received from a host device in the second region, stores metadata associated with management of the user data and generated by a file system of the host device in the first region, loads the metadata from the first region to the buffer memory in response to address information for an index node (inode) associated with the metadata, and accesses the target data in the second region using the metadata loaded to the buffer memory.
Abstract:
A storage device includes a nonvolatile memory including a main meta data area and a journal area, and a controller. The controller updates an address mapping table including a plurality of page mapping entries divided into a plurality of segments by executing a flash translation layer (FTL) stored in a working memory, stores updated page mapping entries of the plurality of page mapping entries in the journal area as journal data, and stores the plurality of segments, each having a size smaller than a physical page of the nonvolatile memory, in the main meta data area.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for installing a profile in a terminal including a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) corresponding to a smart card security module, which is inserted into a mobile communication terminal and then used are provided. More particularly, a method and an apparatus for remotely installing or removing mobile communication subscriber information in/from a profile of a terminal are provided. The terminal can remotely download the profile from a network server (subscription manager data preparation (SM-DP) or subscription manager secure routing (SM-SR)) without any change in a mobile network operator information technology (IT) system interface rather than downloading the profile of the terminal by the network server.
Abstract:
A method for operating a mobile device in a mobile communication network. The method comprises transmitting a mobile device component identifier to a network node within the mobile communication network. The mobile device component identifier identifies at least one hardware or software component of the mobile device. The mobile device component identifier is indicative of capability information specifying at least one capability of the mobile device for communication with the mobile communication network. A corresponding method for operating a network node is also provided.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method and apparatus of a wireless network are disclosed. The method includes transmitting a first request message to request allocation of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) group identifier from a service capability server/application server (SCS/AS) to a service capability exposure function (SCEF), the first request message including an external group identifier and an SCS/AS identifier, and receiving a first response message including the MBMS group identifier from the SCEF to the SCS/AS.
Abstract:
Methods of operating nonvolatile memory devices include counting a number of consecutive read operations performed on a first memory region within the nonvolatile memory device, and executing a page reclaim operation on the first memory region in response to detecting that a count in the number of consecutive read operations meets or exceeds a threshold count. A page reclaim operation may include checking an error bit level within a page of data stored in a multi-level cell block within the memory device. The page reclaim operation may further include moving page data from the multi-level cell block to a single-level cell block in the memory device and error correcting the page data during the moving.
