Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein disclose a method for providing restricted service access in a wireless network by a first network entity (i.e., target AMF entity (400)). The method includes requesting a NRF entity (600) to grant an access-token to access a second network entity (i.e., initial AMF entity (300)). Further, the method includes receiving a message comprising a restricted service access to the second network entity based on the access-token. Further, the method includes sending a restricted UE context transfer request to the second network entity based on the message comprising the restricted service access. Further, the method includes receiving a UE context transfer response from the second network entity based on the restricted UE context transfer request.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for handling synchronization of Home Network (HN) security key(s) in a wireless network. The proposed method includes receiving a Non-access stratum (NAS) authentication request message from a network entity (200A), where the UE (100A) holds a first Home network (HN) security key. Further, the method includes determining an authentication response message for the received NAS authentication request message and generating a second HN security key from a plurality of input parameters received in the NAS authentication request message and sending authentication response message to the network entity (200A). Further, the method includes storing the second HN security key in response to receiving a NAS security mode command message from the network entity (200A) or ignore the second HN security key in response to receiving a NAS reject message from the network entity (200A).

In an embodiment, a method, for managing an Authentication and Key Management for Applications (AKMA) service for a User Equipment (UE) in a communication system is disclosed. The method includes determining, by a network function, that the UE is not allowed to utilize the AKMA service, in response to detecting at least one condition associated with the UE. The method includes transmitting, by the network function, a request to an AKMA Anchor Function (AAnF) for deleting an AKMA context corresponding to the UE from a memory associated with the AAnF. The method includes deleting, by the AAnF, the AKMA context corresponding to the UE from the memory.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for Non-3GPP Interworking Function (N3IWF) selection in a UE for network connectivity. The method comprising receiving, by the UE associated with the system, a configuration message from an AMF in a network. Thereafter, the method comprising configuring each of a plurality of N3IWF identifiers and associated at least one S-NSSAI present in the configuration message, wherein the each of the plurality of N3IWF identifiers is an IP address or a FQDN. Subsequently, the method comprising selecting a N3IWF identifier from the plurality of N3IWF identifiers based on a user selection of a S-NSSAI associated with the N3IWF identifier for the network connectivity. The present disclosure makes user aware of the different N3IWFs available in the network, which allows user to select right N3IWF, and hence, the services the user wants to utilize while connecting via non-3 GPP network.

Methods and systems for handling network slice admission control for User Equipment (UE) are provided. The disclosure relates to network slicing and more particularly, to a system and method of ensuring that a communication system is able to accurately enforce quota on the maximum number of UEs concurrently registering for a network slice defined by a Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI). The disclosure describes how the limits of “Number of Terminals” configured for an S-NSSAI may be accurately maintained in a Network Slice Admission Control Function (NSACF), and thus the enforcement may be performed when the limit is really exhausted. The disclosure also describes that a deregistration notification from a Unified Data Management (UDM) may act as a trigger for an old Mobility Management Function (AMF) to decrement counts in the NSACF as the old AMF is no longer serving the UE.
