    摘要: A touch position detecting method, a device using the method, and a touch screen display device having the device are disclosed. A touch sensing unit senses a touch event and outputs a sensing data. A reference update unit updates a reference data with an n-th frame sensing data provided from the touch sensing unit, based on a predetermined update signal. A position detecting unit detects the touch position by using the reference data and an (n+i)-th frame sensing data from the touch sensing unit. Therefore, the touch position is easily detected by determining a difference between the reference data and the sensing data at a certain time.

When external light having a predetermined intensity is provided to the light sensor, the test circuit outputs a driving signal in response to a sensing signal output from the output node. A test pixel part includes pixels selected from a plurality of pixels arranged in the display panel and receives the driving signal from the test circuit to display a gray-scale corresponding to the driving signal. A brightness measurer measures a brightness corresponding to the gray-scale displayed in the test pixel part to compare the measured brightness with a predetermined brightness, thereby testing whether the light sensor built in the display panel is normally operated.

The display apparatus may further include processing circuitry implementing a power-saving mode and a normal mode, and configured to generate touch information. An display driver may include a photo sensing circuit and a pressure sensing circuit. An embodiment of the display driver may include: an amplifying unit amplifying a photo sensing signal and a pressure sensing signal; a parallel-to-serial converting unit converting the amplified photo sensing signal and the amplified pressure sensing signal into serial sensing signals; and an analog-to-digital converter converting the serial sensing signals into digital sensing signals, wherein the amplifying unit, the parallel-to-serial converting unit, and the analog-to-digital converter operate in one of a normal mode and a power saving mode according to the pressure sensing signal.
