摘要： A recording medium which realizes high sound quality and is playable on a conventional playback device has a recording layer provided with a double-layered structure having at least a first layer L1 and a second layer L2, an audio data program is recorded on the first layer in the first data format, which is the conventional format, and the audio data program is recorded on the second layer in a second, new data format. The audio data programs recorded on the first layer and on the second layer are the same program and can be produced using 1-bit &Dgr;&Sgr; modulation having a high sampling rate as the new format, the &Dgr;&Sgr; modulated signal being passed through successive decimation filters to form the lower sampling rate signal of the conventional format. The double-layered disk can be played back using a disk judging unit that detects the disk's table of contents and controls a laser beam focus of a pick up, an operating clock frequency, and the decoder for reading out the data recorded in pits formed on the disk.

The higher sampling frequency is an integer multiple of the standard sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz used in the first generation CD to thereby simplify the clock signal generation circuitry. The recording system uses decimation filters to lower the sampling frequency of the 1-bit .DELTA..SIGMA. modulation signal so that the same signal can be used to manufacture both a first generation CD and a second generation CD. The playback apparatus is compatible and the kind of disk is determined based on the table of contents information, so that the appropriate clock signals can be provided to the decoders. In the case of the first generation CD being played back, the data is converted by an oversampling filter and a .DELTA..SIGMA. modulator before being digital to analog converted.

摘要： A method for sealing an ink cartridge is disclosed. A cover film is bonded to the ink cartridge in such a manner as to cover an ink inlet hole formed in the ink cartridge. An opening is formed in the cover film in such a manner as to communicate with the hole of the ink cartridge. The method includes preparing a seal film and bonding the seal film to the cover film with a bonding strength smaller than the bonding strength of the cover film with respect to the ink cartridge in such a manner that the seal film becomes peelable from the cover film, thereby sealing the opening of the cover film.

An oversampling processor oversamples the PCM signal with a quantization frequency of 44.1 kHz and a quantization word length of 16 bits, wherein the PCM signal is inputted from an input terminal at a sampling frequency of 2×44.1 kHz, and then supplies an output of the oversampling process to an adder. The adder adds the normalized output from the normalizer to the oversampling output from the oversampling processor, and then supplies the addition output to an oversampling processor.
