    摘要: In one embodiment, a method for encoding or decoding a video signal includes constructing a base layer picture in a base layer, where the base layer picture includes image sample data. The method further includes applying a de-blocking filter to the image sample data in the constructed base layer picture, and interpolating the deblocking filtered base layer picture. Each of an even field component and an odd field component in the deblocking filtered base layer picture is interpolated in a vertical and a horizontal direction. The interpolated even field component and odd field component are interleaved, and texture prediction information of a current block in an enhanced layer is obtained by using the interleaved even field component and odd field component.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for conducting interlayer motion prediction in encoding or decoding of video signal. The present method identifies types of pictures on a base layer and a current layer or types of macro blocks included in the pictures, forms a block on a virtual layer by copying motion information of a macro block on the base layer if type of a picture on the current layer or a macro block included therein is identified to field and type of a picture on the base layer or a macro block included therein is identified to progressive, and uses the copied motion information of the block on the virtual layer in interlayer motion prediction for a macro block of the picture on the current layer.

    摘要: A method for encoding video signals by inverse motion compensated temporal filtering where video frames of a base layer are used to encode video frames of an enhanced layer into predicted images. For each image block in an arbitrary frame in an enhanced layer frame sequence, an area including a block, which is present in a base layer frame temporally coincident with the arbitrary frame and is at the same position as the image block, is enlarged according to the ratio between screen sizes of the two layers. A reference block most highly correlated with the image block is searched for in the enlarged area in the temporally coincident base layer frame through motion estimation and is used to obtain pixel difference values and a motion vector of the image block for encoding the image block into a predicted image, thereby improving coding efficiency.

    摘要: A method for receiving and decoding an encoded bitstream of a first layer and an encoded bitstream of a second layer into a video signal is provided. It is determined whether or not a block temporally coincident with a target block in a picture of the first layer is present in the bitstream of the second layer. An operation for checking information (intra_base_flag and residual_prediction_flag) indicating whether or not the target block has been predicted based on data of a block in a different layer corresponding to the target block is skipped if no block temporally coincident with the target block is present in the bitstream of the second layer. This method eliminates the need for encoders to transmit unnecessary information (intra_base_flag and residual_prediction_flag) when performing inter-layer prediction using a temporally adjacent frame.
