    摘要: An extensible wireless framework for connecting to a wireless network is provided. The extensible wireless framework includes a network roaming service with a registration component and a network service component. The registration component registers extensible service modules and extensible drivers for providing non-standard (i.e., extensible) capabilities to the wireless network. The extensible service module provides a service not provided by a native component of the extensible wireless framework, and the extensible driver may implement a media access control sub-layer of a wireless network protocol and provide a media access control interface. The network service component identifies available wireless networks, selects to join the wireless network when available, requests the extensible driver for the wireless network via its media access control interface to connect to the selected network, and notifies the extensible service module to provide services to the extensible driver.

    摘要: A method and system is provided for management of medical data from a network of devices. The network of devices may include federated sensors that collect and forward medical data pertaining to an individual or biological specimen. The federated sensors or a central or remote device may further process the medical data and assign a priority value to the medical data. Processing can also include the analysis of the data for sensor error, local fusion of multiple sensors into higher-level interpretations, and the summarization or abstraction of the data into information that people are more comfortable with sharing than they might be with transmittal of the base data. The medical data may be transported to a healthcare provider or other endpoints based on the priority value and the authorization of recipient.

    摘要: Various technologies described herein pertain to managing and accessing a community Wi-Fi network. The community Wi-Fi network can include sharer computing devices in differing local networks that share respective network bandwidth capacities with consumer computing devices. Feedback information pertaining to network bandwidth capacity available at different geographic locations covered by the community Wi-Fi network can be collected and evaluated to enable generation of maps for visualizing coverage of the community Wi-Fi network. A consumer computing device can display a map that includes visual information pertaining to the geographic coverage of the community Wi-Fi network relative to a geographic location of the consumer computing device. Community Wi-Fi network coverage can be analyzed to detect geographic locations at which network coverage is desirably added; network coverage can be added by incentivizing a potential sharer computing device to opt in to share network bandwidth capacity or controlling beamforming of sharer computing device(s).
