Abstract:
In one embodiment a controller comprises logic configured to receive, in the controller, a geofencing definition and input from at least one location information device, update a location of the controller using one or more location parameters from one or more location information devices, and generate a notification signal when the location of the controller indicates that the controller has crossed a threshold. Other embodiments may be described.
Abstract:
A business object model, which reflects data that is used during a given business transaction, is utilized to generate interfaces. This business object model facilitates commercial transactions by providing consistent interfaces that are suitable for use across industries, across businesses, and across different departments within a business during a business transaction. In some operations, software creates, updates, or otherwise processes information related to Indian employee payroll input, Indian social insurance arrangement, and Indian tax arrangement business objects.
Abstract:
The compounds according to formula VIII, their pharmaceutically acceptable acid or base addition salts, and the uses thereof is disclosed. These compounds and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid or base addition salts can be used for the preparing a medicament for modulating estrogen related receptor (ERR), and treating metabolic diseases, such as high blood fat, fatty liver, hyperglycemia, diabetes, obesity, etc. The definition of the groups of the formula is defined as the description.
Abstract:
A user device including a haptic feedback system configured to receive and process data captured by one or more sensors and determine contextual characteristics of the user device and a surrounding environment based on the captured data. The contextual characteristics may include, but are not limited to, ambient noise level and ambient light level of the surrounding environment, as well as user possession, movement and/or use and interaction with the device. The haptic feedback system is further configured to adjust haptic feedback effects of the user device based, at least in part, on the contextual characteristics of the user device and surrounding environment so as to provide an optimized haptic feedback effect to the user.
Abstract:
An efficient approach for estimating scalefactors for use in the quantization of audio signal spectrum values is described. The scalefactor estimation approach can be implemented in multiple stages. A first stage estimates a distortion level for a selected scalefactor band spectrum value based on a received maximum tolerant distortion threshold and the spectrum values in the scalefactor band. A second stage determines an interim process value based on the previously estimated distortion level and generates a scalefactor for a selected scalefactor band spectrum value based on the generated interim process value and a statistically predetermined fraction. A third stage generates a scalefactor that applies to the whole scalefactor band based on the scalefactor generated for the selected scalefactor band spectrum value. The approach provides a performance gain of 40% over previous techniques, thereby reducing device power requirements and audio encoder bottlenecks.
Abstract:
A method of processing an image includes the steps of receiving selection of the first region of interest (ROI) of an image, processing the first image data related to the first ROI, displaying the first image ROI based on the first image data, receiving selection of the second ROI of the image, which at least partially overlapping the first ROI, processing the second image data related to a portion of the second ROI that does not overlap the first ROI, combining the processed second image data with the processed first image data that overlaps the second ROI, and displaying the second image ROI based on the combined processed second image data and the processed first data.
Abstract:
The heterocyclic alkynyl benzene compounds of formula (I), their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and stereoisomers thereof, as well as application in preparing drugs for preventing or treating tumors. The compounds can overcome the clinically induced resistance against Gleevec.
