    摘要: A device for introducing illuminating light that is emitted from a light source to an illuminating light guide fiber bundle associated with an endoscope. The device has an incident end face of the light guide fiber bundle that is disposed at a position where the light from the light source is converged, and a lens which is disposed in close proximity to the incident end face of the light guide fiber bundle. That lens has a convex surface which faces the light source and a concave surface which faces the light guide fiber bundle.Accordingly, the illuminating light is refracted by the concave surface of the lens so as to enter the light guide fiber bundle at a small angle to the optical axis. Thus, the illuminating light is transmitted through the light guide fiber bundle with a considerably small number of times of reflection.

    摘要: A portable endoscope having a control part containing an entrance end portion of a light guide for transmitting light for illuminating an object, and a hermetic illuminating light supply unit containing a light source lamp for supplying illuminating light to the light guide. The unit is connected to the control part. An armoring member is disposed at a position where it is heated by heat radiated from the light source lamp. The outer surface of the armoring member is covered with a heat-insulating cover made of a material having a low thermal conductivity. A battery chamber is formed in the illuminating light supply unit to accommodate a battery as a power supply for the lamp. A relief valve releases the pressure in the battery chamber to the outside of the unit when the pressure rises.

    摘要: An exciting light filter through which exciting light which is adapted to radiate fluorescence from a living tissue is transmitted, is provided in an illumination light path defined between a light source which emits the illumination light and an object to be observed, in a fluorescence endoscope. A fluorescence filter which permits fluorescence which is radiated from the living tissue due to the illumination by the exciting light and whose wavelength is longer than that of the exciting light to pass therethrough but does not permit the exciting light to pass through the fluorescence filter, is provided in an observation light path defined between the object and a viewing portion in which an image of the object is viewed. There is a difference of 20 nm to 40 nm between the longest wavelength of the wavelength band of which more than 10% are transmitted through the exciting light filter and the shortest wavelength of the wavelength band of which more than 10% are transmitted through the fluorescence filter.

    摘要: A fluoroscopic apparatus in which an object image formed by an objective optical system provided at a front end of an insertion portion of an endoscope is transmitted to an ocular optical system through a first bundle of image guiding optical fibers to view the object image includes an excitation light filter which permits light having a wavelength band for exciting fluorescence from an object to be viewed to pass therethrough. The excitation light filter is retractably inserted in an optical path of illuminating light with which the object is illuminated. A beam splitter is provided in the ocular optical system to split the object image transmitted to the ocular optical system into an image for normal observation and for an image for fluorescence observation. A second bundle of image guiding optical fibers is provided in an optical path of the image for fluorescence observation to transmit the image to an image intensifier. Another filter for fluorescence observation is provided in the optical path of the image to permit light having a wavelength band other than the wavelength band which can pass through the excitation light filter to pass therethrough.
